Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF COMPLIANCE IN TAKING MEDICINES FOR ELDERLY WITH HYPERTENSION IN THE WORKING AREA OF UPTD PUBLIC HEALTH CENTER I JEMBRANA IN 2023 ABSTRACT Hypertension is a blood vessel disorder that blocks the supply of oxygen and nutrients carried by the blood to reach the body tissues that need them. One of the treatments for hypertension is pharmacological treatment, namely taking antihypertensive drugs regularly every day. The purpose of this study was to describe adherence to taking medication in elderly hypertensives in the work area of UPTD Puskesmas I Jembrana in 2023. This study used a quantitative research type with a descriptive cross-sectional research design. approach. The sampling technique is non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling approach. The number of samples is 59 people. The data collection technique used the questionnaire method using the MMAS-8 questionnaire. The results of the study were mostly classified as elderly (60-74 years) as many as 49 people (83.1%), the majority were female as many as 40 people (67%), most of them had elementary school education. , 36 people (61.0%), mostly not working as many as 44 people (74.6%). Most of the elderly with hypertension have low adherence to taking medication as many as 21 people (35.6%). It is expected that the elderly with hypertension maintain adherence to taking antihypertensive medication so that blood pressure remains controlled. Keyword : hypertension, medication adherence, elderly GAMBARAN KEPATUHAN MINUM OBAT PADA LANSIA DENGAN HIPERTENSI DI WILAYAH KERJA UPTD PUSKESMAS I JEMBRANA TAHUN 2023 ABSTRAK Hipertensi merupakan gangguan pembuluh darah yang menghambat suplai oksigen dan nutrisi yang dibawa oleh darah untuk mencapai jaringan tubuh yang membutuhkan. Pengobatan hipertensi salah satunya adalah pengobatan farmakologis yakni meminum obat antihipertensi secara teratur setiap hari. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran kepatuhan minum obat pada lansia dengan hipertensi di wilayah kerja UPTD Puskesmas I Jembrana tahun 2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian deskriptif yang berlandaskan dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Teknik sampling adalah non probability sampling dengan pendekatan purposive sampling. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 59 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan metode kuesioner yakni menggunakan kuesioner MMAS-8. Hasil penelitian diperoleh yaitu sebagian besar tergolong lanjut usia (60 – 74 tahun) sebanyak 49 orang (83,1%), sebagian besar berjenis kelamin perempuan sebanyak 40 orang (67%), sebagian besar memiliki tingkat pendidikan tamat SD sebanyak 36 orang (61,0%), sebagian besar tidak bekerja sebanyak 44 orang (74,6%). Sebagian besar lansia hipertensi memiliki kepatuhan minum obat rendah sebanyak 21 orang (35,6%). Diharapkan lansia hipertensi tetap mempertahankan kepatuhannya dalam minum obat antihipertensi sehingga tekanan darah tetap terkontrol. Kata kunci : Hipertensi, Kepatuhan minum obat, Lansia
