Abstract

LEVELS OF KNOWLEDGE ABOUT DENTAL AND ORAL HEALTH MAINTENANCE BEFORE AND AFTER COUNSELING USING THE LECTURE METHOD AND SIMULATION METHOD IN CLASS III STUDENTS OF SDN 13 PEDUNGAN, 2023 ABSTRACT The results of the 2018 Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) stated that the largest proportion of dental problems in Indonesia were damaged/cavities/sick teeth (45.3%). The purpose of this study was to find out the level of knowledge about maintaining dental and oral health before and after counseling using the lecture method and simulation method for class III students at SDN 13 Pedungan in 2023. Results used to collect class III data at SDN 13 Pedungan was a test in the form question sheet. The results of the study showed that the level of knowledge after counseling using the lecture method was in a very good category, with 16 people (55.17%) and the results showed that the level of knowledge after counseling with the simulation method was in a very good category, with 18 people (66.66%). The average level of knowledge before the lecture method counseling was 61.37 and the average before being given the simulation method counseling was 61.66 while the average after the lecture method counseling was 77.75 (very good) and the average after the simulation method training was 80.74 (Very good). The conclusion of the results of this study is that the average knowledge after being given counseling with the simulation method is more effective than the lecture method. TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN TENTANG PEMELIHARAAN KESEHATAN GIGI DAN MULUT SEBELUM DAN SESUDAH PENYULUHAN DENGAN METODE CERAMAH DAN METODE SIMULASI PADA SISWA KELAS III SDN 13 PEDUNGAN TAHUN 2023 ABSTRAK Hasil Riset Kesehatan Dasar (Riskesdas) tahun 2018 menyatakan bahwa proporsi terbesar masalah gigi di Indonesia adalah gigi rusak/berlubang/sakit sebesar (45,3%). Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan tentang pemeliharaan kesehatan gigi dan mulut sebelum dan sesudah penyuluhan dengan metode ceramah dan metode simulasi pada siswa kelas III SDN 13 Pedungan Tahun 2023. Hasil yang digunakan untuk pengumpulan data kelas III SDN 13 Pedungan yaitu tes dalam bentuk lembar soal. Hasil penelitian tingkat pengetahuan setelah penyuluhan metode ceramah kategori sangat baik sebanyak 16 orang (55,17%) dan hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat pengetahuan setelah penyuluhan metode simulasi kategori sangat baik sebanyak 18 orang (66,66%). Rata- rata tingkat pengetahuan sebelum penyuluhan metode ceramah 61,37 dan rata-rata sebelum diberikan penyuluhan metode simulasi 61,66 sedangkan rata-rata setelah penyuluhan metode ceramah 77,75 (sangat baik) dan rata-rata setelah penuluhan metode simulasi 80,74 (sangat baik). Kesimpulan hasil penelitia ini adalah rata-rata pengetahuan setelah diberikan penyuluhan dengan metode simulasi lebih efektif dibandingkan metode ceramah.
