Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF TOTAL CHOLESTEROL LEVELS IN PATIENTS HYPERTENSION AT PUSKESMAS PUPUAN II TABANAN ABSTRACT Hypertension is a condition where there is an increase in systolic and diastolic blood pressure ≥140/90 mmHg. Patients with hypertension in Tabanan, especially at the Puskesmas Pupuan II Tabanan, are fairly high and are included in the top ten most common diseases at the Health Center. Factors that can trigger hypertension are unhealthy lifestyles. A bad lifestyle can generally increase total cholesterol levels in the body which is one of the risk factors for heart disease and stroke in hypertensive patients. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of total cholesterol levels in hypertensive patients in Puskesmas Pupuan II Tabanan. This research method uses descriptive research with purposive sampling technique involving 43 respondents of hypertension patients at Puskesmas Pupuan II Tabanan. The examination of total cholesterol levels used the POCT method with the results that 16 people (37.2%) had normal total cholesterol levels, 18 people (41.9%) had the upper limit, and 9 people (20.9%) had high levels. The total cholesterol levels of hypertensive patients in the high category were predominantly found in those aged >65 years (66.7%), based on gender, the dominant were found in women (77.8%), the dominant physical activity was found in respondents who did light physical activity (100%). Keywords: hypertension, total cholesterol GAMBARAN KADAR KOLESTEROL TOTAL PADA PASIEN HIPERTENSI DI PUSKESMAS PUPUAN II TABANAN ABSTRAK Hipertensi adalah suatu kondisi dimana adanya peningkatan tekanan darah sistolik dan diastolik ≥140/90 mmHg. Penderita hipertensi di Tabanan khususnya di Puskesmas Pupuan II Tabanan terbilang tinggi dan termasuk kedalam sepuluh macam penyakit terbanyak di Puskesmas tersebut. Faktor yang dapat memicu terjadinya hipertensi ialah gaya hidup yang tidak sehat. Gaya hidup yang buruk umumnya dapat meningkatkan kadar kolesterol total dalam tubuh yang menjadi salah satu faktor risiko penyakit jantung dan stroke pada penderita hipertensi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran kadar kolesterol total pada pasien hipertensi di Pupuan II Tabanan. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan teknik sampling purposive sampling dengan melibatkan 43 responden pasien hipertensi di Puskesmas Pupuan II Tabanan. Pemeriksaan kadar kolesterol total menggunakan metode POCT dengan hasil, responden dengan kadar kolesterol total normal sebanyak 16 orang (37,2%), ambang batas atas sebanyak 18 orang (41,9%), dan tinggi sebanyak 9 orang (20,9%). Kadar kolesterol total pasien hipertensi kategori tinggi dominan ditemukan pada usia >65 tahun (66,7%), berdasarkan jenis kelamin dominan ditemukan pada perempuan (77,8%), aktivitas fisik dominan ditemukan pada responden yang melakukan aktivitas fisik ringan (100%).
