Abstract

OVERVIEW OF BRUSHING SKILL BEFORE AND AFTER COUNSELING WITH DEMONSTRATION METHOD YEAR 2025 (The study was conducted on Grade IV and V Students of SD Negeri 7 Banjar Anyar, Kediri District, Tabanan Regency) ABSTRACT Elementary school age is the ideal time to train children's motor skills, including tooth brushing skill. The demonstration method helps them understand how and when to brush teeth with direct practice. The purpose of this study is to determine the description of tooth brushing skill before and after counseling with demonstration method in grade IV and V students of SD Negeri 7 Banjar Anyar in 2025. The type of research is descriptive, including 49 students. The type of data collected was primary data in concerning description of student skills and secondary data using checklist observation. The data collection used an observation checklist sheet containing 20 statements. The result of the study showed comparation of the percentage of skill before and after counseling. Before counseling the very good category was 2 students (4%), none had good criteria, sufficient criteria was 4 students (8%),and criteria with needed guidance were 43 students (88%)After counseling the result turned to all students (100%) gained very good criteria. The average skill before counseling was (41.22) with guidance criteria need, after counseling turned to (99.29) with very good criteria. The conclusion of this study is that before counseling there was 43 students (88%) with the criteria of needing guidance, after counseling it increased to (100%) with very good criteria category. Keywords: skills, counseling, demonstrations, elementary school GAMBARAN KETERAMPILAN MENYIKAT GIGI SEBELUM DAN SESUDAH PENYULUHAN DENGAN METODE DEMONSTRASI TAHUN 2025 (Studi dilakukan pada Siswa Kelas IV dan V SD Negeri 7 Banjar Anyar, Kecamatan Kediri, Kabupaten Tabanan) ABSTRAK Usia sekolah dasar adalah waktu ideal melatih motorik anak, termasuk keterampilan menyikat gigi. Metode demonstrasi membantu mereka memahami cara dan waktu menyikat gigi dengan praktik langsung. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Gambaran keterampilan menyikat gigi sebelum dan sesudah penyuluhan dengan metode demonstrasi pada siswa kelas IV dan V SD Negeri 7 Banjar Anyar Tahun 2025. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian deskriptif. Jumlah responden penelitian yaitu 49 siswa. Jenis data yang dikumpulkan adalah data primer dan data sekunder. Cara pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan lembar checklist observasi yang berisi 20 pernyataan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan persentase keterampilan sebelum di berikan penyuluhan yaitu, kategori sangat baik sebanyak 2 siswa (4%), tidak ada yang memiliki kriteria baik, kriteri cukup sebanyak 4 siswa (8%), kriteria perlu bimbingan sebanyak 43 siswa (88%), sesudah penyuluhan seluruh siswaan (100%) dengan kriteria sangat baik. Rata-rata keterampilan sebelum penyuluhan sebesar (41,22) dengan kriteria perlu bimbingan, sesudah penyuluhan sebesar (99,29) dengan kriteria sangat baik. Simpulan hasil penelitian ini yaitu frekuensi keterampilan sebelum penyuluhan berjumlah 43 siswa (88%) kriteria perlu bimbingan, sesudah penyuluhan menjadi (100%) dengan kriteria sangat baik. Rata-rata keterampilan sebelum penyuluhan sebesar (41,22) kriteria perlu bimbingan, setelah penyuluhan sebesar (99,29) kriteria sangat baik.
