Abstract

NAUSEA NURSING CARE WITH GINGER ESSENTIAL OIL AROMATHERAPY AND ACUPRESSURE THERAPY POINTS P6 AND ST36 ON POST CHEMOTHERAPY CA MAMMAE PATIENTS AT BALI MANDARA HOSPITAL YEAR 2024 Ni Made Puriasih Nurse Professional Study Program Poltekkes Kemenkes Denpasar Email: puriasihnimd9@gmail.com ABSTRACT Globocan data for 2020, the number of new cases of breast cancer reached 68,858 cases (16.6%) out of a total of 396,914 new cases of cancer in Indonesia. This study aims to determine the description of nursing care for nausea using ginger essential oil aromatherapy and acupressure therapy at points P6 and ST36 in Ca Mammary patients after chemotherapy at the Bali Mandara Regional Hospital. This nurse's final scientific work uses a descriptive research design with a case study method. The sample in this nurse's final scientific work is one Ca Mammae patient who has undergone chemotherapy with a nursing diagnosis of nausea at the Bali Mandara Regional Hospital, taking into account the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The intervention given to cases managed with the nursing problem of nausea was the provision of Ginger Essential Oil aromatherapy and Acupressure Therapy at Points P6 and ST36. After the intervention of giving Ginger Essential Oil aromatherapy and Acupressure Therapy at Points P6 and ST36 for three consecutive days during nausea, the results showed that the patient said he no longer felt nausea and vomiting, the patient did not look pale, saliva appeared to decrease, the frequency of swallowing appeared to decrease, the tachycardia improved. (pulse: 90x/minute). The evaluation results from the intervention of giving Ginger Essential Oil aromatherapy and acupressure therapy at points P6 and ST36 were that the level of nausea decreased. Ginger Essential Oil Aromatherapy and Point P6 and ST36 Acupressure Therapy are non￾pharmacological therapies that can be used as complementary therapies in treating nausea. It is hoped that sustainable non-pharmacological therapies such as ginger essential oil aromatherapy and acupressure therapy can be applied as complementary therapies in treating the problem of nausea in cancer patients who experience side effects due to chemotherapy. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran asuhan keperawatan nausea dengan aromatherapi ginger essential oil dan terapi akupresur titik P6 dan ST36 pada pasien Ca Mammae pasca kemoterapi di RSUD Bali Mandara. Karya ilmiah akhir ners ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian deskriptif dengan metode studi kasus. Sampel dalam karya ilmiah akhir ners ini adalah satu orang pasien Ca Mammae yang telah menjalani kemoterapi dengan diagnosis keperawatan nausea di RSUD Bali Mandara dengan memperhatikan kriteria inklusi dan kriteria ekslusi. Intervensi yang diberikan pada kasus kelolaan dengan masalah keperawatan nausea yaitu pemberian aromaterapi Ginger Essential Oil dan Terapi Akupresur Titik P6 dan ST36. Setelah dilakukan intervensi pemberian aromaterapi Ginger Essential Oil dan Terapi Akupresur Titik P6 dan ST36 selama tiga hari berturut�turut selama mual didapatkan hasil bahwa pasien mengatakan sudah tidak merasakan mual dan muntah, pasien tampak tidak pucat, saliva tampak menurun, frekuensi menelan tampak menurun takikardia membaik (nadi: 90x/menit). Hasil evaluasi dari intervensi pemberian aromaterapi Ginger Essential Oil dan terapi akupresur titik P6 dan ST36 yaitu tingkat nausea menurun. Aromaterapi Ginger Essential Oil dan Terapi Akupresur Titik P6 dan ST36 merupakan terapi nonfarmakologi yang dapat digunakan sebagai terapi komplementer dalam menangani nausea. Diharapkan agar terapi nonfarmakologi secara berkelanjutan seperti aromaterapi ginger essential oil dan terapi akupresur dapat diterapkan sebagai terapi komplementer dalam menangani masalah nausea pada pasien kanker yang mengalami efek samping akibat kemoterapi.
