Abstract

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS OF TEETH-BRUSHING IN 12 YEAR OLD SEKOLAH DASAR NEGERI 7 SESETAN YEAR 2024 ABSTRACT Lack of knowledge about dental health can lead to the formation of bad habits, which ultimately have a negative impact on dental and oral health. The purpose of this research is to find out about the knowledge and skills of brushing teeth in 12 year old students at Sekolah Dasar Negeri 7 Sesetan in 2024. This research is a descriptive study with a survey design with a total of 43 respondents aged 12 years. The results of the percentage of toothbrushing knowledge in the good category were 15 students (34.9%), in the sufficient category were 27 students (62.8%), in the poor category there were one student (2.3%) with an average of 74.7 (category Enough). The percentage results of toothbrushing skills with very good criteria were 8 students (18.7%), good criteria were 11 students (25.6%), adequate criteria were 10 students (23.2%), criteria needed guidance were 14 students ( 32.5%) with an average of 65.3 (sufficient criteria). The conclusion of this research is that the knowledge about brushing teeth is the highest in the sufficient category, 27 students (62.8%) and the majority of teeth brushing skills in the criteria of needing guidance are 14 students (32.5%). PENGETAHUAN DAN KETERAMPILAN MENYIKAT GIGI PADA SISWA USIA 12 TAHUN SEKOLAH DASAR NEGERI 7 SESETAN TAHUN 2024 ABSTRAK Kurangnya pengetahuan tentang kesehatan gigi dapat menyebabkan pembentukan kebiasaan-kebiasaan yang tidak baik, yang pada akhirnya berdampak negatif pada kesehatan gigi dan mulut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tentang pengetahuan dan keterampilan menyikat gigi pada siswa usia 12 tahun Sekolah Dasar Negeri 7 Sesetan Tahun 2024. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan desain survei dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 43 siswa yang berusia 12 tahun. Hasil persentase pengetahuan menyikat gigi dengan kategori baik sebanyak 15 siswa (34,9%), kategori cukup sebanyak 27 siswa (62,8%), kategori kurang sebanyak satu siswa (2,3%) dengan rata-rata 74,7 (kategori cukup). Hasil persentase keterampilan menyikat gigi dengan kriteria sangat baik sebanyak 8 siswa (18,7%), kriteria baik sebanyak 11 siswa (25,6%), kriteria cukup sebanyak 10 siswa (23,2%), kriteria perlu bimbingan sebanyak 14 siswa (32,5%) dengan rata-rata 65,3 (kriteria cukup). Simpulan penelitian ini adalah pengetahuan tentang menyikat gigi paling banyak dengan kategori cukup sebanyak 27 siswa (62,8%) dan keterampilan menyikat gigi paling banyak dengan kriteria perlu bimbingan sebanyak 14 siswa (32,5%).
