Abstract
RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PARENT SUPPORT AND ADOLESCENT WOMEN'S READINESS FOR MENARCHE AT SDN 6 GIANYAR ABSTRACT Parental support is indispensable for teenagers to face menarche, but most parents have not provided information about menstruation to their children. They don't think that it is appropriate to talk about reproduction and sexuality to elementary school-age children. The purpose of this research is to prove the relationship between parental support and young women readiness to face menarche at SDN 6 Gianyar. This research is quantitative research of analytical correlative with cross sectional approach. The data in this research was taken by using probability sampling technique which is simple random sampling. Normality test using kolmogrov-smirnov, followed by pearson product moment correlation test with a result of 0.000 > 0.05. The results of the analysis of parental support for young women to face menarche with a mean score of 71.9. While the mean score of readiness of young women to face menarche as much as 68.8. So, it can be concluded that there is a strong and positive relationship between parental support and the readiness of young women to face menarche. Therefore, parents are expected to be closer to their children and support them to be better prepared to face menarche. Keywords: Parental Support, Young Women, Menarche, Readiness
