Abstract
DESCRIPTION OF CHARACTERISTICS AND CONDITIONS OF SESAREA POST SECTION POST BREAST BREASTFEEDING IN GIVING MILK WATER Study Conducted in General Hospital Prima Medika Denpasar Year 2021 ABSTRACT Breast milk (ASI) is the main food for newborns without the need for additional fluids or other solid foods. Giving breast milk to post-cesarean postpartum mothers sometimes experiences obstacles due to the influence of drugs, delayed mobilization due to the influence of anesthesia, the presence of pain and problems with sore, flat or incoming nipples which will exacerbate the problem of the mother's condition. This study aims to describe the characteristics and condition of post-cesarean postpartum breasts in breastfeeding. The study was conducted at the Prima Medika General Hospital Denpasar on April 22 to 30, 2021 with a total sample of 50 post-cesarean postpartum mothers. This type of research used a descriptive observational design with a cross sectional approach. The results obtained in post-cesarean postpartum mothers were the dominant breast condition with normal nipples. The dominant age for post-cesarean delivery is 20-35 years. The dominant education is higher education. The dominant occupation is a housewife. From the results of this study, it is hoped that midwives can provide counseling, demonstrations and guidance on regular breast care since pregnancy so that nipple problems do not aggravate the condition of post-cesarean section mothers in providing breast milk.
