Abstract

The main problem of dental and oral health, especially in children aged ten years is dental caries. The cause of a person's dental and oral health problems is the level of knowledge. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of knowledge about tooth brushing and DMF-T in ten-year-old children in SD 1 Dangintukadaya Jembrana in 2019. This study was a descriptive study with a total population of 31 students. The results showed the percentage of knowledge about brushing teeth for ten-year-olds that is 48,3% had a level of knowledge about brushing teeth with sufficient criteria with an average of 57,41 and included in sufficient criteria and the percentage showed that most ten year olds had caries teeth (Decay) of 80,9% with an average DMF-T which is equal to 1,35 classified as a low category. The results of this study can be concluded that most students have a level of knowledge about brushing teeth with sufficient criteria and most students who experience dental caries.
