Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF TEETH-BRUSHING BEHAVIOR AND CONDITIONS OF PERIODONTAL TISSUE IN PREGNANT WOMEN IN WORKING AREA UPTD. PUSKESMAS I SOUTH DENPASAR IN 2023 ABSTRACT Good oral hygiene can be achieved through good and correct knowledge and behavior to maintain healthy teeth and mouth. Behavior is a series of actions that a person takes in response to something then becomes a habit because of the values one believes in. WHO created an index that can be used to assess periodontal disease in population surveys, the index is the CPITN. This index is used to determine the prevalence of periodontal disease and the severity of periodontal disease in a population. The purpose of this study was to describe tooth brushing behavior and the condition of the periodontal tissues in pregnant women in the working area of the UPTD. Puskesmas I South Denpasar in 2023. The type of research being conducted was descriptive research. The results of the research on the frequency of tooth brushing behavior were mostly in the very good criteria (47.3%) and the least in the criteria for needing guidance (1.8%). The results of the study showed that most of the periodontal tissue conditions contained tartar (63.6%) and no one had healthy periodontal tissue conditions (0%) and deep pockets (0%). The conclusions of the results of this study are the frequency of tooth brushing behavior in pregnant women, namely 26 people (47.3%) with very good criteria, the frequency of periodontal tissue conditions in pregnant women is that there is the most tartar of 63.6%, and the average tooth brushing behavior in pregnant women is 73.8 (good criteria). PUSKESMAS I DENPASAR SELATAN TAHUN 2023 ABSTRAK Kebersihan gigi dan mulut yang baik dapat dicapai melalui pengetahuan dan perilaku yang baik dan benar untuk menjaga kesehatan gigi dan mulut. Perilaku adalah serangkaian tindakan yang dilakukan seseorang sebagai tanggapan terhadap sesuatu kemudian menjadi kebiasaan karena nilai-nilai yang diyakini. WHO membuat indeks yang dapat digunakan untuk menilai penyakit periodontal dalam survei populasi, indeks tersebut yaitu CPITN. Indeks ini digunakan untuk menentukan prevalensi penyakit periodontal dan tingkat keparahan penyakit periodontal pada suatu populasi. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui gambaran perilaku menyikat gigi serta kondisi jaringan periodontal pada ibu hamil di wilayah kerja UPTD. Puskesmas I Denpasar Selatan tahun 2023. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu penelitian deskriptif. Hasil penelitian frekuensi perilaku menyikat gigi paling banyak pada kriteria sangat baik (47,3%) dan paling sedikit pada kriteria perlu bimbingan (1,8%). Hasil penelitian kondisi jaringan periodontal paling banyak terdapat karang gigi (63,6%) dan tidak ada yang memiliki kondisi jaringan periodontal sehat (0%) dan pocket dalam (0%). Simpulan hasil penelitian ini yaitu frekuensi perilaku menyikat gigi pada ibu hamil yaitu 26 orang (47,3%) dengan kriteria sangat baik, frekuensi kondisi jaringan periodontal pada ibu hamil yaitu paling banyak terdapat karang gigi sebesar 63,6%, dan rata-rata perilaku menyikat gigi pada ibu hamil yaitu 73,8 (kriteria baik).
