Abstract
DIFFERENCES IN INTENSITY OF MENSTRUATION PAIN BEFORE AND AFTER HERBAL COMPRESS BALL THERAPY IN ADOLESCENT WOMEN AT SMA NEGERI 2 TABANAN ABSTRACT Dysmenorrhea occurs in 90% of Indonesian women, and 10% experience severe dysmenorrhea that interferes with daily activities. Treatment of dysmenorrhea can be done pharmacologically and non-pharmacologically. One of the non-pharmacological treatments is using herbal therapy compress balls. The purpose of this study was to determine differences in the intensity of menstrual pain before and after the herbal compress ball therapy in class X-XI students at SMA Negeri 2 Tabanan. The research design was pre-experimental with one group pretest-posttest design. The sampling technique used Non Probability Sampling type Purposive Sampling with a total of 20 respondents. The instrument used is the NRS (Numeric Rating Scale) pain scale measurement sheet. The results of the data normality test showed that the data were not normally distributed, so the analysis used the Wilcoxon test. The results of the data analysis showed that there were differences before and after the Herbal Therapy Compress Ball with a value of p = 0.000 (α <0.05). The level of menstrual pain for young women obtained the lowest pretest score was four and the highest score was six, and the median value was five. Meanwhile, the posttest results showed that the lowest score was one and the highest score was three, and the median was two. So that proves that there is a significant difference in the intensity of menstrual pain in young women before and after being given the Herbal Therapy Compress Ball. PERBEDAAN INTENSITAS NYERI MENSTRUASI SEBELUM DAN SESUDAH HERBAL THERAPY COMPRESS BALL PADA REMAJA PUTRI DI SMA NEGERI 2 TABANAN ABSTRAK Dismenorea terjadi pada 90% perempuan Indonesia, dan 10% mengalami dismenorea berat hingga mengganggu aktivitas sehari-hari. Penanganan dismenorea dapat dilakukan secara farmakologi dan non farmakologi. Salah satu penanganan non farmakologi yaitu menggunakan herbal therapy compress ball. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan intensitas nyeri menstruasi sebelum dan sesudah herbal therapy compress ball pada siswi kelas X-XI di SMA Negeri 2 Tabanan. Desain penelitian ini yaitu pre-eksperimental dengan rancangan one grup pretest-posttest. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Non Prohability Sampling jenis Purposive Sampling dengan jumlah 20 responden. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar pengukuran skala nyeri NRS (Numeric Rating Scale). Hasil uji normalitas data didapatkan data berdistribusi tidak normal, sehingga analisis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan sebelum dan sesudah Herbal Therapy Compress Ball dengan nilai p = 0,000 (α < 0,05). Tingkat nyeri menstruasi remaja putri didapatkan skor pretest terendah adalah empat dan skor tertinggi adalah enam, dan nilai median lima. Sedangkan, hasil posttest didapatkan skor terendah adalah satu dan skor tertinggi tiga, dan median dua. Sehingga membuktikan bahwa terdapat perbedaan bermakna intensitas nyeri menstruasi remaja putri sebelum dan sesudah diberikan Herbal Therapy Compress Ball.
