Abstract
THE DESCRIPTION OF TOTAL CHOLESTEROL LEVELS IN COFFEE DRINKERS IN ANTIGA KELOD VILLAGE MANGGIS DISTRICT KARANGASEM REGENCY IN 2022 ABSTRACT Background: Coffee contains various substancaes including kahweol, cafestol, caffeine, and chlorogenic acid which are associated with metabolism and affect lipid profies that can increase total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, and triglycerides. Aims: to describe the total cholesterol Total Cholesterol Levels in coffee drinkers in Antiga Kelod Village, Manggis District, Karangasem Regency in general. Methods: This research method is a descriptive study conducted in March-May 2022 with a total of 35 respondents obtained by purposive sampling technique. Total cholesterol levels were measured using the Pont of Care Testing (POCT) method. Results: the results showed that of the 35 respondents (48,6%) had normal Total Cholesterterol levels, (17,1%) threshold Total Cholesterol levels, and (34,3%) high Total Cholesterol levels. High Total Cholesterol levels are more commonly found at the age of 51-65 years, had light physical activity, and consuming more than three cups of coffee per day. Conlusion: the conlusion of this study is that mot of the coffee drinkers in Antiga Kelod Village have normal Total Cholesterol levels. Key words : Total Cholesterol GAMBARAN KADAR KOLESTEROL TOTAL PADA PEMINUM KOPI DI DESA ANTIGA KELOD KECAMATAN MANGGIS KABUPATEN KARANGASEM TAHUN 2022 ABSTRAK Latar belakang: Kopi mengandung berbagai zat diantaranya kahweol, kafestol, kafein, dan chlorogenic acid yang berhubungan dengan metabolisme dan mempengaruhi profil lipid yang dapat meningkatkan Kolesterol Total, LDL Kolesterol, HDL Kolesterol, dan trigliserida. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui kadar Kolesterol Total pada peminum kopi di Desa Antiga Kelod, Kecamatan Manggis, Kabupaten Karangasem secara umum. Metode: Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif yang dilakukan dari bulan Maret-Mei 2022 dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 35 orang yang diperoleh dengan teknik purposive sampling. Kadar Kolesterol Total diukur dengan menggunakan metode Point of Care Testing (POCT). Hasil: Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa, dari 35 responden (48,6%) memiliki kadar Kolesterol Total normal, (17,1%) kadar Kolesterol Total batas ambang, dan (34,3%) kadar Kolesterol Total tinggi. Kadar Kolesterol Total tinggi lebih banyak ditemukan pada usia 51-65 tahun, memiliki aktivitas fisik ringan, dan mengonsumsi kopi sebanyak >3 cangkir per hari. Simpulan: Sebagian besar peminum kopi di Desa Antiga Kelod memiliki kadar Kolesterol Total normal. Kata kunci : Kolesterol Total
