Abstract
THE EFFECT OF EDUCATION WITH SONG MEDIA ON KNOWLEDGE OF HANDWASH IN SCHOOL AGE CHILDREN AT PANDEMY ABSTRACT School-age children are children who are vulnerable to contracting various diseases, one of which is COVID-19. COVID-19 can be prevented with proper hand washing. Hand washing knowledge can be provided through education with song media because it is easy to understand, so that education can be fun. This study aims to determine the effect of education using song media on the level of knowledge of hand washing at school-age children during the pandemic at the Polda Bali Dormitory. The type of research used is one group pre post test design with a total sample of 53 people using purposive sampling technique. Data collection was carried out by giving hand washing knowledge level questionnaire. The results showed the level of knowledge of washing hands in school-age children before being given education with song media was mostly in the good category, namely 40 people (75.5%) and after being given education with song media showed an increase in the level of knowledge of washing hands by 49 people (92.5%) ) in either category. The results of the study were tested with the wilcoxon test with a p-value (0.000) <alpha (0.05), it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of providing education with song media on the level of knowledge of hand washing in school-aged children during the pandemic at the Polda Bali Dormitory. Respondents are expected to continue to remember and share information related to hand washing. Key words: song media; knowledge level; hand washing
