Abstract

THE DESCRIPTION OF PLAYGROUND ACTIVITIES FOR SCHOOL-AGE CHILDREN DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC AT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL 3 SULAHAN IN 2021 ABSTRACT The appeared of Covid-19 pandemic crippled the activities of every communities conducted outside the home, as well as changed in the playing activities of school-age children in pandemic period. The children who usually did free activities outside home, today the must be in the house that mdes the children feel bored because they had to stay at home for a long period of time, activities are disrupted, and took their time in explore the environment. The purpose of this study is to find out the picture of school-age children's playing activities during the covid-19 pandemic at Sulahan Elementary School 3. This research used descriptive research method with survey approach. The sample of the research is 69 respondents using purposive sampling technique. The data is applied by filling out an online questionnaire through google form and analyzed descriptively using the SPSS 24 computer program. The highest percentage of studys’ result is in sufficient category that is 31 respondents (44,9%), 24 respondents ( 34,8%) is in good category and 14 respondents (20,3%) is in deficient category. By the result of this study could be concluded that the playing activities of school-age children in covid-19 pandemic period is in sufficient category. These results are a reference for playing activities during the Covid-19 pandemic. Keywords: playing activities, school-age children, covid-19 pandemic
