Abstract
In Indonesia the percentage of exclusive breastfeeding in 2018 is 37.3% while in the Susut II public health center in 2018 48.4% is still below the national target set by the Ministry of Health in 2015 which is 80%. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that influence exclusive breastfeeding and baby nutrition status age 6-12 months. This type of research is an observational study with crossectional design. The study was conducted in January - May 2019 with a total sample of 60 people. The factors that influence exclusive breastfeeding are collected by interview method and the data were analyzed by logistic regression test. While the baby's nutritional status data is collected by measuring the baby's body weight and body length. Then the nutritional status data were analyzed using the Independent T-Test. The results showed that the percentage of exclusive 6-month breastfeeding was still low at only 33.3%. The most dominant factors affect exclusive breastfeeding, namely early breastfeeding initiation and maternal health conditions. There are differences in nutritional status between infants who are given exclusive breastfeeding and infants who are not given exclusive breastfeeding. Therefore it is necessary to have supervision from the Health Office so that all hospitals / maternity hospitals / clinics / practice / health centers / health personnel practices in Bangli Regency to implement 10 steps towards successful breastfeeding.
