Abstract

Pregnant women have a gingivitis at risk of giving birth to a lower premature baby than pregnant women with a healthy gingival. The purpose of this study is to know the description of gingivitis in pregnant women who visited Puskesmas Manggis II in Karangasem Regency in 2019. This method of research is descriptive research by using survey design. The number of research samples was 45 pregnant women. The results showed that 45 pregnant mothers were examined as much as 42 in gingivitis. The I trimester of 4.44%, II as much as 53.33%, and III as much as 35.56%, the pregnant women who are most affected by gingivitis are in the II trimester of pregnancy as much as 53.33% and the least in the I trimester of 4.44%.The most frequent sextan exposed gingivitis in sextan V (the lower front) as much as 33 sextan. Based on the results of the study can be concluded most of the pregnant women gingivitis is as much as 42 people (93.33%), pregnant women who suffer the most gingivitis in the II trimester of pregnancy and sextan most commonly experienced gingivitis ie sextan V.
