Abstract

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN AGE, PARITY AND BODY MASS INDEX OF PREGNANT WOMEN WITH THE INCIDENCE OF PREECLAMPSIA ABSTRACT Preeclampsia is one of the main causes of the high Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) in Indonesia, particularly in East Sumba Regency. Factors such as age, parity, BMI influence the occurrence of preeclampsia. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between age, parity and BMI with the incidence of preeclampsia. This study used a quantitative method with an observational analytical approach and a cross-sectional design. A sample size of 103 respondents was selected using simple random sampling based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. Secondary data sources were obtained from medical records of pregnant women with gestational age ≥ 20 weeks who were treated at Umbu Rara Meha Regional Hospital in the period 2025. The result of univariate analysis showed that the highest age of pregnant women was 20-35 years old, amounting to 67 people (65%), multiparaus parity 45 people (43,7 %),normal BMI 47 people (45,6 %), did not experience preeclampsia 81 people (78,6 %). The result of bivariat analysis with the Chi-Square test on age and the incidence of preeclampsia found a p value of 0,244, while parity and BMI with the incidence of preeclampsia found a p value of 0,001 or p<0,05. The conclusion is that parity and BMI have a significant contribution to the incidence of preeclampsia, on the contrary age has no relationship. Faktor risiko seperti usia, paritas, IMT ibu hamil berpengaruh terhadap terjadinya preeklampsia. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hubungan antara usia, paritas dan IMT dengan kejadian preeklampsia. Jenis penelitian kuantitatif, pendekatan observasional analitik dan rancangan cross sectional. Besar sampel 103 dipilih menggunakan teknik Simple Random Sampling berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Sumber data sekunder diperoleh dari rekam medis ibu hamil usia kehamilan ≥ 20 minggu yang dirawat di RSUD Umbu Rara Meha tahun 2025. Hasil analisis univariat menunjukkan usia terbanyak pada ibu hamil 20-35 tahun berjumlah 67 orang (65 %), paritas multipara 45 orang (43,7 %), IMT normal 47 orang (45,6 %), tidak mengalami preeklampsia 81 orang (78,6 %). Hasil analisis bivariat dengan uji Chi-Square pada usia dan kejadian preeklampsia didapati nilai p = 0,244, sebaliknya paritas dan IMT dengan kejadian preeklampsia didapati nilai p = 0,001 atau p < 0,05. Simpulannya bahwa paritas dan IMT memiliki kontribusi signifikan terhadap kejadian preeklampsia sebaliknya usia tidak mempunyai hubungan. Saran untuk puskesmas perketat skrining preeklampsia dan untuk rumah sakit jadwalkan drill emergency berkala serta integrasikan pelaporan digital.
