Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF TOTAL CHOLESTEROL LEVELS IN ELDERLY HYPERTENSIVE PATIENTS IN JEGU VILLAGE, PENEBEL DISTRICT TABANAN REGENCY ABSTRACT Background: An elderly person is someone who has entered the age of 60 or older. Hypertension or high blood pressure is an increase in systolic blood pressure of more than 140 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure of more than 90 mmHg. Hypertension is caused by many different risk factors, including high cholesterol. Hypercholesterolemia can clog blood vessels so that they trigger hypertension. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the picture of total cholesterol levels in the elderly with hypertension in Jegu Village, Penebel District, Tabanan Regency. Methods: This study used descriptive research by purposive sampling. This measurement uses the POC method. Results: The results of a study that has been conducted on 41 hypertensive elderly people found that total cholesterol levels are rather high, many are found in hypertensive elderly people aged 60-74 years (49%). In the female gender, the results were obtained as many as 15 people (48%). And respondents in the normal BMI category were 15 people (48%). In the blood pressure category of degree 1 hypertension, 19 people (54%) were obtained. Conclusion: The results were obtained that the total cholesterol level was somewhat high (49%), normal as much as (37%), and high as (15%). Keywords: elderly, hypertension, total cholesterol GAMBARAN KADAR KOLESTEROL TOTAL PADA LANSIA HIPERTENSI DI DESA JEGU KECAMATAN PENEBEL KABUPATEN TABANAN ABSTRAK Latar belakang: Lanjut usia adalah seseorang yang telah memasuki usia 60 tahun atau lebih. Hipertensi atau tekanan darah tinggi adalah peningkatan tekanan darah sistolik lebih dari 140 mmHg dan tekanan darah diastolic lebih dari 90 mmHg. Hipertensi disebabkan oleh banyak faktor risiko yang berbeda, termasuk kolesterol tinggi. Hiperkolesterolemia dapat menyumbat pembuluh darah sehingga memicu terjadinya hipertensi. Tujuan: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran kadar kolesterol total pada lansia hipertensi di Desa Jegu Kecamatan Penebel Kabupaten Tabanan. Metode: penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif secara purposive sampling. Pengukuran ini menggunakan metode POCT. Hasil: Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan pada 41 lansia hipertensi didapatkan hasil kadar kolesterol total agak tinggi banyak ditemukan pada lansia hipertensi usia 60-74 tahun sebanyak 20 orang (49%). Pada jenis kelamin perempuan didapatkan hasil sebanyak 15 orang (48%). Serta responden kategori IMT normal didapatkan sebanyak 15 orang (48%). Pada kategori tekanan darah hipertensi derajat 1 didapatkan sebanyak 19 orang (54%). Kesimpulan: Didapatkan hasil kadar kolesterol total agak tinggi sebanyak (49%), normal sebanyak (37%), dan tinggi sebanyak (15%). Kata kunci : lansia, hipertensi, kolesterol total
