Abstract

OVERVIEW OF TOTAL CHOLESTEROL LEVELS IN HYPERTENSION PATIENTS AT PUSKESMAS KUTA UTARA ABSTRACT Hypertension can accelerate the occurrence of atherosclerosis (accumulation of cholesterol in the arterial blood vessel wall). Early examination of total cholesterol levels in patients with hypertension aims to detect complications due to hypertension. This study aims to see the picture of total cholesterol levels in the blood. The type of research is descriptive research, conducted at Puskesmas Kuta Utara in March-April 2025. The study population was hypertensive patients, using the Slovin formula obtained a sample of 42 samples with incidental sampling technique. The cholesterol examination method used in this study was the Point Of Care Testing method. Data processing using descriptive statistical analysis. The results showed that the age characteristics of respondents came from seniors 28.6%, late elderly 23.8%, and early elderly 21.4%. Gender characteristics were found to be female 59.5%, and male 40.5%. Based on smoking history found with a history of not smoking 69% and a history of smoking 31%. Based on BMI, 45.2% were found with the IMT Obesity I category. Total cholesterol levels at the upper threshold were 50%, and high cholesterol levels were 26.2%. Total cholesterol levels in the upper threshold category are found in the elderly, male gender, non-smoking history, and obese BMI I. Keywords: cholesterol, hypertension, kuta utara. GAMBARAN KADAR KOLESTEROL TOTAL PADA PENDERITA HIPERTENSI DI PUSKESMAS KUTA UTARA ABSTRAK Hipertensi dapat mempercepat terjadinya aterosklerosis (penumpukan kolesterol di dalam dinding pembuluh darah arteri). Pemeriksaan kadar kolesterol total secara dini pada penderita hipertensi bertujuan untuk mendeteksi komplikasi akibat hipertensi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat gambaran kadar kolesterol total dalam darah. Jenis penelitian merupakan penelitian deskriptif, dilakukan di Puskesmas Kuta Utara pada bulan Maret-April 2025. Populasi penelitian adalah penderita hipertensi, dengan menggunakan rumus Slovin didapatkan sampel sebanyak 42 sampel dengan teknik insidental sampling. Metode pemeriksaan kolesterol yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan metode Point Of Care Testing. Pengolahan data menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian didapatkan karakteristik usia responden berasal dari usia masa manula 28,6%, lansia akhir 23,8%, dan lansia awal 21,4%. Karakteristik jenis kelamin ditemukan perempuan 59,5%, dan laki-laki 40,5%. Berdasarkan riwayat merokok ditemukan dengan riwayat tidak merokok 69% dan riwayat merokok 31%. Berdasarkan IMT ditemukan dengan kategori IMT Obesitas I 45,2%. Kadar kolesterol total di ambang batas atas sebanyak 50%, dan kadar kolesterol tinggi sebanyak 26,2%. Kadar kolesterol total dengan kategori ambang batas atas banyak ditemukan pada usia manula, jenis kelamin laki-laki, riwayat tidak merokok, dan IMT obesitas I.
