Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF THE LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE HAZARDS SMOKING ON DENTAL AND ORAL HEALTH FOR CLASS VII STUDENTS OF SMPN 3 GIANYAR YEAR 2025 ABSTRACT Smoking is a habit that has a major impact on health, including dental and oral health. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of knowledge about the dangers of smoking on dental and oral health in grade VII students of SMPN 3 Gianyar in 2025. This study is a descriptive study using a survey method, with 32 respondents. The results of the study showed that the level of knowledge about the dangers of smoking on dental and oral health was 30 (93.75%) students who had a level of knowledge with good criteria, two (6.25%) with sufficient criteria, and none with poor criteria. The average level of knowledge was 95.47 with good criteria. Know four people (12.5%) students who smoke for less than one year. The conclusion of this study is the level of knowledge about the dangers of smoking on dental and oral health with good criteria. The average level of knowledge about the dangers of smoking on dental and oral health was 95.47 with good criteria. Therewere four students who smoked for less than one year. Keywords: Level of Knowledge, Dangers of Smoking,Students GAMBARAN TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN TENTANG BAHAYA MEROKOK TERHADAP KESEHATAN GIGI DAN MULUT PADA SISWA KELAS VII SMPN 3 GIANYAR TAHUN 2025 ABSTRAK Merokok merupakan kebiasaan yang memiliki dampak besar terhadap kesehatan, termasuk kesehatan gigi dan mulut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran tingkat pengetahuan tentang bahaya merokok terhadap kesehatan gigi dan mulut pada siswa kelas VII SMPN 3 Gianyar tahun 2025. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif menggunakan metode survey, responden berjumlah 32 orang. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pengetahuan tentang bahaya merokok terhadap kesehatan gigi dan mulut terdapat 30 orang (93,75%) siswa yang memiliki tingkat pengetahuan dengan kriteria baik, dua orang (6,25%) dengan kriteria cukup, dan tidak ada dengan kriteria kurang. Rata-rata tingkat pengetahuan sebesar 95,47 dengan kriteria baik. Diketahui empat orang (12,5%) siswa yang merokok kurang dari satu tahun. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah tingkat pengetahuan tentang bahaya merokok terhadap kesehatan gigi dan mulut dengan kriteria baik . Rata-rata tingkat pengetahuan tentang bahaya merokok terhadap kesehatan gigi dan mulut sebesar 95,47 dengan kriteria baik. Terdapat empat orang siswa yang merokok kurang dari satu tahun.
