Abstract

OVERVIEW OF MAINTENANCE KNOWLEDGE LEVELS AND STUDENTS' DENTAL AND MOUTH CLEANLINESS CLASS III AND IV SDN NO. 4 SESETAN YEAR 2024 ABSTRACT Dental and oral health is part of overall body health, including nutritional deficiencies and symptoms of other diseases in the body. Dental and oral hygiene is one way to improve health. The aim of this study was to determine the level of knowledge of dental and oral hygiene maintenance and oral hygiene among students in grades III and IV of SDN No. 4 Sesetan. The type of research is descriptive research. Data analysis was carried out using univariate statistics in the form of percentages and averages. Based on the results of research conducted on 63 students in grades III and IV of SDN No. 4 Sesetan in 2024, the level of knowledge and oral hygiene showed that the majority of students had a level of knowledge, 37 (59%) students were in the sufficient category. The average level of knowledge of class III and IV students at SDN No. 4 Sesetan in 2024 is 72.4 in the sufficient category. The level of dental and oral hygiene of 30 (48%) students was in the good category. The average dental and oral hygiene for class III and IV students at SDN No. 4 Sesetan in 2024 is 1,26 and is in the currently category Keywords: Maintenance, dental and oral hygiene, elementary school students GAMBARAN TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN PEMELIHARAAN SERTA KEBERSIHAN GIGI DAN MULUT PADA SISWA KELAS III DAN IV SDN NO.4 SESETAN TAHUN 2024 ABSTRAK Kesehatan gigi dan mulut merupakan bagian dari kesehatan tubuh secara keseluruhan termasuk jika terjadi kekurangan nutrisi dan gejala penyakit lain di tubuh. Kebersihan gigi dan mulut merupakan salah satu upaya meningkatkan kesehatan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran tingkat pengetahuan pemeliharaan serta kebersihan gigi dan mulut pada siswa kelas III dan IV SDN No.4 Sesetan. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian deskriptif. Analisis data dilakukan dengan statistik univariat berupa persentase dan rata-rata. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan terhadap 63 orang siswa kelas III dan IV SDN No.4 Sesetan Tahun 2024 tingkat pengetahuan serta kebersihan gigi dan mulut menunjukan bahwa sebagian besar siswa memiliki tingkat pengetahuan sebanyak 37 (59%) siswa dengan kategori cukup. Rata-rata tingkat pengetahuan siswa kelas III dan IV SDN No.4 Sesetan tahun 2024 sebesar 72,4 dengan kategori cukup. Tingkat kebersihan gigi dan mulut sebanyak 30 (48%) siswa dengan kategori baik. Rata-rata kebersihan gigi dan mulut pada siswa kelas III dan IV SDN No.4 Sesetan Tahun 2024 sebesar 1,26 dan termasuk kategori sedang. Kata kunci : Pengetahuan, kebersihan gigi dan mulut, siswa SD
