Abstract

OVERVIEW OF URIC ACID LEVELS IN PECALANG IN THE ADAT VILLAGE OF BALE AGUNG KERAMBITAN KERAMBITAN DISTRICT TABANAN CITY ABSTRACT Background: Uric acid is the end result of catabolism in the breakdown of substances called purines which are converted into uric acid via xanthine in a reaction catalyzed by xanthine oxidase. Gout is considered a disease that is dominated by men, around 90% of whom are over 30 years old. Purpose: This study aims to determine the description of uric acid levels in pecalang of Bale Agung Kerambitan, Kerambitan District, Tabanan City. Method: The research method is descriptive with a sample size of 29 pecalang respondents. The sampling technique used was saturated sampling with research results through primary data in the form of interviews and measurements of uric acid levels using the POCT tool. Results: Characteristics of respondents based on age were mostly in the late adulthood range of 37-46 years, namely 44,8%, 58,6% of them consumed alcoholic drinks 1- 2x a week with physical activity of 55,2% had heavy physical activity. The research results had high uric acid levels of 62,1% and 37,9% had normal uric acid levels. Conclusion: Based on research results, high uric acid levels were found in the late adult and elderly categories who consumed alcoholic drinks 1-2x a week and had moderate physical activity. Keyword: Pecalang, Uric Acid GAMBARAN KADAR ASAM URAT PADA PECALANG DESA ADAT BALE AGUNG KERAMBITAN KECAMATAN KERAMBITAN KABUPATEN TABANAN ABSTRAK Latar belakang: Asam urat adalah hasil akhir katabolisme pemecahan zat bernama purin dirombak menjadi asam urat melalui xanthine dalam reaksi yang dikatalisis oleh xanthine oxidase. Asam urat dianggap sebagai penyakit yang didominasi oleh laki-laki sekitar 90% berusia diatas dari 30 tahun. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui gambaran kadar asam urat pada pecalang Desa Adat Bale Agung Kerambitan Kecamatan Kerambitan Kabupaten Tabanan. Metode: Jenis penelitian yang digunakan ialah deskriptif dengan jumlah sampel 29 responden pecalang. Teknik sampling yang digunakan sampling jenuh dengan hasil penelitian melalui data primer berupa hasil wawancara dan pengukuran kadar asam urat menggunakan alat POCT. Hasil: Karakteristik responden berdasarkan usia kebanyakan dalam rentang Dewasa Akhir 37-46 Tahun yaitu 44,8%, sebagian mengkonsumsi minuman beralkohol sebesar 58,6% selama 1-2x seminggu dengan aktivitas fisik sebesar 55,2% mempunyai aktivitas fisik berat. Hasil penelitian kadar asam urat tinggi sebanyak 62,1% dan 37,9% mempunyai kadar asam urat normal. Simpulan: Berdasarkan hasil penelitian bahwa kadar asam urat tinggi ditemukan pada kategori dewasa akhir dan lansia dengan mengkonsumsi minuman beralkohol 1-2x seminggu serta mempunyai aktivitas fisik sedang.
