Abstract

THE EFFECT OF PROVIDING EDUCATION WITH ANIMATED VIDEO MEDIA ON PREPAREDNESS IN FACING MENARCHE IN CLASS VII FEMALE STUDENT IN JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL AT KARANGASEM ABSTRACK Menarche is the first time menstruation occurs and it will be stressful because you have just experienced menstruation. Readiness in dealing with menarche is needed, readiness for menstruation is a condition which indicates that a person is ready to reach physical maturity. This study aims to determine the effect of providing education using animated video media on readiness in facing menarche in class VII female students. This type of research is a Pre-Experimental design with a research design that uses a One-group pre-post design using a total sampling technique. The number of samples is 60 people who are class VII students who have not experienced menarche. The results of this study indicate the readiness of class VII students before being given education with animated videos, namely 3 people (5.0%) in the good category, 56 people (93.3%) in the sufficient category and 1 person (1.7%) in the less category. After being given education with animated videos, it showed an increase in the readiness of respondents with the results of 60 people (100%) in the good category. The results of this study were tested with a statistical test, namely the Wilcoxon test, the results obtained were p-value = 0.000 <alpha (0.05), so it can be concluded that there is an effect of providing education using animated video media on readiness in facing menarche in class VII students at regional junior high schools Karangasem regency. It is hoped that respondents will be able to disseminate the information they have obtained regarding readiness for menarche. Kesiapan dalam menghadapi menarche sangat dibutuhkan, kesiapan menghadapi menstruasi suatu keadaan dimana menunjukan bahwa seseorang siap untuk mencapai kematangan fisik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian edukasi dengan media video animasi terhadap kesiapan dalam menghadapi menarche pada siswi kelas VII. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Pre-Experimental design dengan rancangan penelitian yang digunakan One-group pre-post design menggunakan teknik total sampling. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 60 orang yang merupakan siswi kelas VII yang belum mengalami menarche. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan kesiapan siswi kelas VII sebelum diberikan edukasi dengan video animasi yaitu 3 orang (5,0%) dengan kategori baik, 56 orang (93,3%) dengan kategori cukup dan 1 orang (1,7%) dengan kategori kurang. Setelah diberikan edukasi dengan video animasi menunjukan adanya peningkatan kesiapan responden dengan hasil 60 orang (100%) dengan kategori baik. Hasil penelitian ini diuji dengan uji statistik yaitu uji wilcoxon, didapatkan hasil p-value = 0,000 < alpha (0,05), maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh pemberian edukasi dengan media video animasi terhadap kesiapan dalam menghadapi menarche pada siswi kelas VII di SMP Negeri wilayah Kabupaten Karangasem. Diharapkan responden mampu menyebarluaskan informasi yang telah diperoleh terkait kesiapan menghadapi menarche. Kata Kunci : Menarche, Kesiapan, Video animasi
