Abstract

ABSTRACT The Relationship Between Duration of working and Maternal Education with The Succes of Exclusive Breast Feeding in Public Health Center I of West Denpasar Breast milk is the best food for babies because breast milk has nutritional content suitable for infant needs (Ministry of Health, 2010). In Indonesia the percentage of infants aged less than six months who received exclusive breastfeeding was 54.0%. The coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia nationally (80%) has not reached the target (Indonesia Health Profile, 2016). The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between working hours and mother's education with the success of exclusive breastfeeding in Public Health Center I of West Denpasar. The research design used cross sectional and observational analytic. Sample in this research as many as 45 people. The result of data analysis using chi square test. The result of bivariate analysis stated that there was a correlation between maternal duration of working with the success of exclusive breastfeeding in Public Health Center I of West Denpasar with p-value value 0,025. There is a relationship between maternal education with exclusive breastfeeding success in Public Health Center I of West Denpasar with p value 0,022. The success of exclusive breastfeeding in working mother is influenced by the duration of working hours and mother education so that it is necessary to counsel about the importance of exclusive breastfeeding. Keywords : working hours, education, the succes of exclusive breastfeeding ABSTRAK HUBUNGAN LAMA JAM KERJA DAN PENDIDIKAN IBU DENGAN KEBERHASILAN PEMBERIAN AIR SUSU IBU EKSKLUSIF DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS I DENPASAR BARAT ASI merupakan makanan terbaik untuk bayi karena ASI memiliki kandungan gizi yang sesuai untuk kebutuhan bayi (Kementerian Kesehatan RI, 2010). Di Indonesia persentase bayi usia kurang dari enam bulan yang mendapat ASI eksklusif sebesar 54,0%. Cakupan ASI eksklusif di Indonesia secara nasional (80%) belum mencapai target (Profil Kesehatan Indonesia, 2016). Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan lama jam kerja dan pendidikan ibu dengan keberhasilan pemberian ASI eksklusif di Puskesmas I Denpasar Barat. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan cross sectional dan observasional analitik. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 45 orang. Hasil analisis data menggunakan uji chi square. Hasil analisis bivariat menyatakan ada hubungan antara lama jam kerja ibu dengan keberhasilan pemberian ASI eksklusif di Puskesmas I Denpasar Barat dengan nilai p-value 0,025. Ada hubungan antara pendidikan ibu dengan keberhasilan pemberian ASI eksklusif di Puskesmas I Denpasar Barat dengan nilai p-value 0,022. Keberhasilan pemberian ASI eksklusif pada ibu pekerja dipengaruhi oleh lama jam kerja dan pendidikan ibu sehingga perlu diadakannya penyuluhan tentang pentingnya pemberian ASI eksklusif.
