Abstract
One of the events that occurs in adolescent girls is puberty which is marked by the arrival of menstruation. After getting menstruation, young women need to know how to maintain their reproductive health. One of the efforts made to maintain reproductive health is to apply personal hygiene attitudes. The purpose of this study in general is to describe the knowledge and attitudes of personal hygiene during menstruation in students of SMPN 6 Negara. The method used in this research is descriptive with a cross sectional approach. The sample in this study were students of class VII, VIII, and IX at SMPN 6 Negara totaling 59 people and meeting the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The sampling technique used is probability sampling with a simple random sampling method. The instrument used is a questionnaire with 36 questions. The results showed that most of the respondents had good knowledge as much as 57.6%, moderate knowledge as much as 37.3%, and 5.1% lacked knowledge. Most of the respondents have an attitude with a good category as much as 59.3% and 40.7% with a sufficient category. It is recommended for further researchers to improve this research by conducting more in-depth research on reproductive health and analyzing the relationship between knowledge and attitudes of personal hygiene during menstruation for reproductive health
