Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF ADOLESCENT BEHAVIOR IN HANDLING DYSMENORRHEA WITH NON-PHARMACOLOGICAL TECHNIQUES AT SMAN 1 TABANAN IN THE PANDEMIC COVID-19 IN 2021 ABSTRACT Dysmenorrhea is abdominal pain or cramps during menstruation that comes from contractions of uterine muscles when bleeding menstrual blood from the uterus. as much as 90% women in the world who experience dysmenorrhea. At SMAN 1 Tabanan there are 388 students experiencing dysmenorrhea. The Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in schools implementing an online learning system from home and limiting activities outside the home. The purpose of this study was to determine the behavior of young women in dealing with dysmenorrhea using non-pharmacological techniques during Covid-19 pandemic. This research was conducted quantitatively with a descriptive design with an approach cross sectional. The number of samples was 46 respondents. The sampling technique was cluster random sampling. The measuring instrument used is a questionnaire made by the researcher. As many as 30 (65.2%) with a good level of knowledge, As many as 45 (97.8%) students had positive attitudes. The most common action was drinking water, namely 44 (95.7%). The majority have a good level of knowledge, a positive attitude, and the most non-pharmacological action is drinking water.
