Abstract
THE OVERVIEW OF LIFE QUALITY IN PATIENTS WITH TYPE 2 DIABETES MELLITUS IN RSUD SANJIWANI GIANYAR IN 2021 ABSTRACT Diabetes mellitus type 2 is a chronic disease characterized by an increation in blood sugar levels. Patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus will experience various prob- lems in their life processes that can affect their quality of life. The purpose of this study is to describe the quality of life in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in RSUD San- jiwani Gianyar. The research method that used is descriptive, using a cross sectional approach. The sample was obtained with a total sampling technique of 37 people. The instrument used in this study was a DQOL questionnaire, consisting of 15 valid and reli- able questions. The results showed that the quality of life of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus was in a good category, which 7 respondents (18.9%) with a sufficient category, namely 6 respondents (16.2%), and 24 respondents with a poor category, (64.9%). And the results of the research on the characteristics of respondents based on gender were male 16 respondents (43.2%) and female 21 respondents (55.8%). From the conclusion, the quality of life of type diabetes mellitus patients at Sanjiwani Gianyar Hospital is in the poor category.
