Abstract
DESCRIPTION OF THE LEVEL OF MOTHER'S KNOWLEDGE ABOUT EXCLUSIVE BREASTFEEDING IN THE WORKING AREA OF UPT KESMAS SUKAWATI II IN 2021 Abstract Exclusive breastfeeding is breastfeeding only to infants from birth to 6 months of age without additional food and drink. Factors that influence breastfeeding mothers do not give breast milk to their babies because of the mother's lack of knowledge. This study aims to describe the level of knowledge of mothers about exclusive breastfeeding in the Work Area of UPT Kesmas Sukawati II in 2021. This study uses a descriptive type of research with a cross sectional approach model. This study uses a total sampling technique with a sample of 43 respondents, which was conducted from March to April 2021. The data was collected by questionnaire via google form. Mother's level of knowledge based on age shows that most of them are 20-35 years old (48.8%), Higher Education is the most education found in respondents (48.8%). The type of work of the respondents is mostly as private employees (41.9%), and the number of children respondents are mostly mothers with multiparas (65.1%). have a good level of knowledge (93.0%). It is hoped that health workers will strengthen education, information and intensive counseling programs for breastfeeding mothers who have babies aged 0-6 months regarding exclusive breastfeeding.
