Abstract
THE KNOWLEDGE LEVEL ABOUT ORAL AND DENTAL HEALTH AND TOOTH BRUSHING SKILL OF THE FOURTH AND FIFTH GRADE ELEMENTARY STUDENTS IN SDN 2 NEGARI BANJARANGKAN KLUNGKUNG YEAR 2019 ABSTRACT Health is the most important part of human life, both physically and mentally healthy. Health that needs to be considered in addition to general body health is dental and oral health. To improve the degree of dental and oral health, dental and oral health service need to be implemented. Dental and oral health service are one form of dental health service organized by a promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative approach that is carried out in an integrated and sustainable manner with the aim of activities aimed at vulnerable groups in this case are elementary school children. The aim of the study was in the fourth and fifth grade of SDN 2 Negari to determine the level of knowledge of dental and oral health and tooth brushing skills. This type of research is descriptive research with crossesional design. This study used a total population of fourth and fifth grade student as many as 35 students. The results of this study are the level of knowledge of dental and oral health at most students in the fourth and fifth grades have failed criteria as many as 13 students (37,1), while the least criteria are very good as many as 1 student (2,9). The average result of the level of knowledge of dental and oral health with failing criteria of 43,2. Conclusions The results of the research in grade IV and V students of SDN 2 Negari in 2019 can be concluded, namely the level of knowledge about dental and oral health of almost all students have failed criteria, with an average level of knowledge of oral and dental health having failed criteria. The skill of brushing teeth for students in grade IV and V SDN 2 Negari in 2019 can be concluded that all students have brushing skills with guidance criteria.
