Abstract
DESCRIPTION OF KNOWLEDGE LEVEL ABOUT DENTAL AND ORAL HYGIENE MAINTENANCE IN FOURTH AND FIFTH GRADE STUDENTS IN SDN 2 SERAYA TENGAH YEAR 2019 Abstract Knowledge is the result of knowing and this happens after a person has sensed an object. Knowledge about how to maintain dental and oral hygiene is very important given at an early age. The purpose of this study was to describe the level of knowledge about how to maintain dental and oral hygiene in students in grade IV and V of Seraya Tengah Elementary School 2 in Karangasem Regency April 2019. This type of research is a descriptive study. The type of data collected is primary data. Respondents of this study were all classes IV and V which numbered 45 people. The results showed that the highest level of knowledge about how to maintain dental and oral hygiene with enough criteria was 32 people (71.11%) and the lowest criteria were less than 3 people (6.67%). The average level of knowledge on how to maintain dental and oral hygiene is 70.22 with sufficient criteria. Conclusion of the frequency of the average level of knowledge on how to maintain teeth and mouth care for students in grade IV and V of SDN 2 Seraya Tengah Karangasem Regency in 2019 is 70.22 with sufficient criteria Keywords: Knowledge Level, Dental and Oral Hygiene, Elementary Students.
