Abstract
Knowledge is the result of knowing and this happens after a person senses through the five senses of a particular object. Children's knowledge in maintaining healthy teeth and mouth is very important to prevent dental and oral diseases such as dental caries. The role of parents and teachers is needed to educate and care for children in maintaining dental health. The purpose of this study was to describe the level of dental and oral health and permanent dental caries in grade IV and V students of SDN 1 Duda, Selat District in 2019. The research conducted was descriptive research. The results of the study showed the percentage of knowledge with very good criteria as many as nine people (20,5%), with good criteria as many as 14 people (31,8%), with sufficient criteria as many as 11 people (25,0%), with criteria less as many as four people (9,1%), and with failing criteria as many as six people (13,6%). The highest frequency is in good criteria. The average level of dental and oral health 67,27 with sufficient criteria. The average permanent dental caries of grade IV and V students in SDN 1 in 2019 is 1,64. The results of this study can be concluded that grade IV and V students of SDN 1 in the 2019 widower have an average level of knowledge of 67,27 with sufficient criteria.
