Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF GIVING KI3 POINT ACUPRESSURE THERAPY TO ELDERLY PEOPLE WITH GOUT IN THE WORK AREA OF THE SAWAN I PUBLIC HEALTH CENTER SAWAN DISTRICT BULELENG REGENCY IN 2023 ABSTRACT Gout is caused by increased blood acid levels in the body, which occurs due to the habit of consuming foods that are high in purines. This study aims to describe the administration of KI3 point acupressure therapy to the elderly with gout in the Working Area of the Sawan I Public Health Center, Sawan District, Buleleng Regency in 2023. The type of research used was descriptive with a qualitative approach. The sampling technique used in this study was probability sampling with simple random sampling technique with 40 research samples. The results of this study were that the majority of respondents aged 45-59 years were 19 people (47.5%), 26 people (65%) were female, 15 people had elementary school education (37.5%), and worked as farmers 12 people (30%). Before being given acupressure therapy, all respondents had uric acid levels above normal values in 40 people (100%) and after giving acupressure therapy decreased uric acid levels in 15 people (37.5%) in the normal category and found as many as 25 people (62, 5%) with the category still high or above the normal value. KI3 point acupressure therapy is given to improve or optimize the secretory function of the kidneys so that the kidneys will excrete uric acid properly and decrease blood uric acid levels. Suggestions for respondents are to always adopt a healthy lifestyle and implement acupressure therapy at home. Keywords: acupressure therapy, elderly, gout GAMBARAN PEMBERIAN TERAPI AKUPRESUR TITIK KI3 PADA LANSIA DENGAN ASAM URAT DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS SAWAN I KECAMATAN SAWAN KABUPATEN BULELENG TAHUN 2023 ABSTRAK Penyakit asam urat disebabkan karena kadar asam darah dalam tubuh meningkat, yang terjadi karena kebiasaan mengomsumsi makanan yang kandungan tinggi purin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan pemberian terapi akupresur titik KI3 pada lansia dengan Asam Urat di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Sawan I Kecamatan Sawan Kabupaten Buleleng Tahun 2023. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah probability sampling dengan teknik simple random sampling dengan 40 sampel penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu mayoritas responden berusia 45-59 tahun sebanyak 19 orang (47,5%), berjenis kelamin perempuan sebanyak 26 orang (65%), berpendidikan Sekolah Dasar sebanyak 15 orang (37,5%), dan bekerja sebagai petani sebanyak 12 orang (30%). Sebelum diberikan terapi akupresur seluruh responden memiliki kadar asam urat diatas nilai normal sebanyak 40 orang (100%) dan setelah pemberian terapi akupresur mengalami penurunan kadar asam urat sebanyak 15 orang (37,5%) dengan kategori normal dan ditemukan sebanyak 25 orang (62,5%) dengan kategori masih tinggi atau diatas nilai normal. Terapi akupresur titik KI3 diberikan untuk memperbaiki atau mengoptimalkan fungsi sekresi ginjal sehingga ginjal akan mengekresi asam urat dengan baik dan terjadi penurunan kadar asam urat darah. Saran bagi responden yaitu selalu menerapkan gaya hidup sehat dan mengimplementasikan terapi akupresur di rumah. Kata kunci: terapi akupresur, lansia, asam urat
