Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF FAST FOOD CONSUMPTION IN SCHOOL-AGE CHILDREN AT SD N 5 JIMBARAN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ABSTRACT Fast food is the most preferred food by teenagers today. This is because fast food can be consumed at any time and under any conditions. If fast food is consumed excessively, it will cause more nutrition or obesity in a person due to the content of the food. The aim of this study is to find out the picture of the consumption of ready- made food (fast food) among school-age children in the primary school in Jimbaran. This type of research is quantitative research with a descriptive research design carried out in January–May 2023 in Primary School 5 Jimbaran, involving 59 samples. Samples are taken using purposive sampling. Data collection using the Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ) The results of the study showed that fast food consumption occurred most often in 38 people (64.4%) and rarely in 21 people (35.6%). Results of the analysis of the consumption of ready food (fast food) in children of school age in SD N 5 Jimbaran show that the majority often occurs at the age of 11 years, with as many as 12 people (16.9%) and the gender of women being 21 people (35.6%). Keywords : Fast food consumption, school-age children GAMBARAN KONSUMSI MAKANAN SIAP SAJI (FAST FOOD) PADA ANAK USIA SEKOLAH DI SD N 5 JIMBARAN ABSTRAK Makanan cepat saji atau fast food merupakan makanan yang paling digemari oleh para remaja saat ini, hal ini disebabkan karena fast food bisa dikonsumsi kapanpun dan dalam kondisi apapun. Jika fast food dikonsumsi secara berlebihan maka akan menyebabkan terjadinya gizi lebih atau kegemukan pada seseorang karena kandungan dari fast food tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui gambaran konsumsi makanan siap saji (fast food) pada anak usia sekolah di SD N 5 Jimbaran. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian deskriptif dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari – Mei 2023 bertempat di SD N 5 Jimbaran melibatkan 59 sampel. Sampel diambil menggunakan purposive sampling. Pengambilan data menggunakan istrumen formulir Food Frequency Questionnare (FFQ). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan konsumsi makanan siap saji (fast food) mayoritas sering sebanyak 38 orang (64,4%) dan jarang sebanyak 21 orang (35,6%). Hasil analisis konsumsi makanan siap saji (fast food) pada anak usia sekolah di SD N 5 Jimbaran yaitu dengan mayoritas sering pada umur 11 tahun sebanyak 12 orang (16,9%) dengan jenis kelamin perempuan sebanyak 21 orang (35,6%).
