Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF BODY IMAGE DISTURBANCES IN PATIENTS WITH TYPE II DIABETES MELLITUS AT RSUD SANJIWANI GIANYAR IN 2023 ABSTRACT Diabetes Mellitus is a common problem for public health, this condition is constantly increasing both in the world and in Asia. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of body image disorders in Type II Diabetes Mellitus patients at Sanjiwani Gianyar Hospital in 2023. The type of research used in this study is descriptive research using a cross-sectional approach. The number of samples in this study amounted to 36 people. The technique in sampling in this study was to use non-probability techniques with consecutive sampling techniques. The measuring instrument in this study used the SIBID questionnaire. The results of this study found that of the 36 research subjects there were 26 people (72.2%) with negative body image, based on the age of negative body image ≥60 years as many as 17 people (47.2%), female gender as many as 14 people (38.9%) with negative body image, based on the level of education negative body image as many as 21 people (58.3%), based on the length of time suffering from diabetes mellitus ≥10 years experiencing negative body image as many as 18 people (50.0%). The conclusion of the research conducted is that based on age characteristics the majority occurs at the age of ≥60 years, in gender the majority occurs in the female gender, based on the level of education the majority of negative body image occurs in primary education, and based on the length of time suffering from diabetes mellitus the majority occurs in ≥ 10 years. Keywords: Diabetes Mellitus, Body Image, Physical GAMBARAN GANGGUAN CITRA TUBUH PADA PASIEN DIABETES MELITUS TIPE II DI RSUD SANJIWANI GIANYAR TAHUN 2023 ABSTRAK Diabetes Melitus merupakan masalah umum bagi kesehatan masyarakat kondisi ini secara terus-menerus mengalami peningkatan baik didunia maupun di Asia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Gambaran Gangguan Citra Tubuh Pada Pasien Diabetes Melitus Tipe II di RSUD Sanjiwani Gianyar Tahun 2023. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan cross-sectional. Jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini sebesar 36 orang . Teknik dalam pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini adalah menggunakan teknik Non-probability dengan Teknik consecutive sampling. Alat ukur pada penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner SIBID. Hasil dari penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa dari 36 subjek penelitian terdapat sebanyak 26 orang (72.2%) citra tubuh negatif, berdasarkan usia citra tubuh negatif ≥60 tahun sebanyak 17 orang (47.2%), jenis kelamin perempuan sebanyak 14 orang (38.9%) citra tubuh negatif, berdasarkan tingkat pendidikan citra tubuh negatif sebanyak 21 orang (58.3%), berdasarkan lama menderita diabetes melitus ≥10 tahun mengalami citra tubuh negatif sebanyak 18 orang (50.0%). Kesimpulan dari penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu berdasarkan karakteristik usia mayoritas terjadi pada usia ≥60 tahun, pada jenis kelamin mayoritas terjadi pada jenis kelamin perempuan, berdasarkan tingkat pendidikan mayoritas terjadi citra tubuh negatif pada pendidikan dasar, dan berdasarkan lama menderita diabetes melitus mayoritas terjadi pada ≥ 10 tahun.
