Abstract
Anemia is defined as a lower concentration of hemoglobin (Hb), erythrocytes, and hematocrit (Hct) than normal values. Anemia in pregnant women is influenced by various factors including the level of knowledge, food diversity and anemia status. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and food diversity with the anemia status of pregnant women. This type of research is an observational study with a cross sectional design. This research was conducted in December 2022. A sample size of 53 was selected from 113 pregnant women at the Sukasada I Health Center, Buleleng Regency, Bali. Sampling using purposive sampling. Data analysis using the Chi Square test. Based on the results of the observation of the sample, it was found that 28.3% were anemic, 50.9% had good knowledge, 54.7% varied food consumption, 92.1%. The statistical test results showed that there was a relationship between knowledge and anemia status (p=0.019), there was a relationship between the type of food diversity and anemia status (p=0.000) in the UPTD Puskesmas Sukasada I area, Buleleng Regency, Bali.
