Abstract

Hypertension is a disease with cardiovascular system disorders characterized by an abnormal increase in blood pressure in arterial blood vessels continuously or more than one period. Based on data obtained from the Denpasar City Health Office, the number of hypertension patients aged ≥15 years, the highest case of hypertension patients is found in Puskesmas II West Denpasar as many as 26,620 cases. The purpose of this study was to determine the knowledge picture of complementary herbal vegetable juice in hypertension patients at the UPT Puskesmas II West Denpasar in 2023. The type of research used is quantitative method with descriptive research using an Open ended Questions questionnaire sheet. The population of hypertension sufferers was 941 cases, so this study used the sampling technique used in this study, namely non-probability sampling with purposive sampling using the slovin formula to 40 respondents. The results showed that the knowledge of complementary herbal juice of chayote, celery and carrots in hypertensive respondents with sufficient knowledge was 25 respondents (62.5%), based on the age of the majority aged 45-51 as many as 15 people (37.5%), female gender as many as 25 people (62.5%), elementary school education 12 people (30.0) and as a housewife as many as 14 people (35.0%). Respondents are currently taking hypertension medication and are advised to seek information through mass media and print media regarding non-pharmacological therapy with chayote, celery and carrot juice to stabilize and reduce hypertension. Keywords: knowledge of complementary herbal, hypertension Hipertensi merupakan penyakit dengan gangguan system kardiovaskular ditandai dengan adanya peningkatan abnormal tekanan darah dalam pembuluh darah arteri secara terus menerus atau lebih dari satu periode. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh dari Dinas Kesehatan Kota Denpasar Jumlah penderita hipertensi usia ≥15 tahun kasus tertinggi penderita hipertensi terdapat di Puskesmas II Denpasar Barat sebanyak 26,620 kasus. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk Mengetahui Gambaran Pengetahuan Komplementer Herbal Jus Sayuran Pada Penderita Hipertensi Di UPT Puskesmas II Denpasar Barat Tahun 2023. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode kuantitatif dengan penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan lembar kuesioner Open ended Questions. Adapun populasi penderita hipertensi sebanyak 941 kasus maka penelitian ini menggunakanTeknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Non probability sampling dengan purposive sampling dengan menggunakan rumus slovin menjadi 40 responden . Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan komplementer herbal jus Labu siam, Seledri Dan Wortel pada responden hipertensi dengan pengetahuan cukup sebanyak 25 responden (62,5%), Berdasarkan umur mayoritas berumur 45-51 sebanyak 15 orang (37,5%), berjenis kelamin perempuan sebanyak 25 orang (62,5%), berpendidikan sekolah dasar 12 orang (30,0) dan sebagai Ibu rumah tangga sebanyak 14 orang (35,0%). Reaponden saat ini mengonsumsi obat hipertensi dan disarankan mencari informasi melalui media massa dan media cetak terkait terapi non-farmakologis dengan jus labu siam, seledri dan wortel untuk menstabilkan dan menurunkan hipertensi.
