Abstract
DESCRIPTION OF THE ACTIONS OF PREGNANT WOMEN WHEN CONSUMING IRON TABLETS IN THE WORK AREA OF THE SOUTH DENPASAR HEALTH CENTER II IN 2023 ABSTRACT Anemia in pregnant women is one of the causes of death in pregnant women. Efforts made to prevent anemia in pregnant women are giving iron tablets at least 90 tablets during pregnancy. But there are still pregnant women who take iron tablets inappropriately. This study aims to describe the actions of pregnant women in consuming iron tablets. This type of research is a descriptive type of research with a cross-sectional method conducted on 51 second and third trimester pregnant women who have received iron tablets. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling method. Based on the results of the study, it showed that the actions of pregnant women in consuming iron tablets in the working area of the South Denpasar Health Center II were mostly good, namely 39 people (76.5%) and those who were not good were 12 people (23.5%). All respondents took the action component of consuming 1 regular iron tablet every day and as recommended by the midwife/doctor, namely 51 respondents (100%). Another component of the action that was most commonly performed was pregnant women consuming iron tablets with water, as many as 48 respondents (94.1%). The conclusion of this study is that most pregnant women in the working area of the South Denpasar Health Center II have taken the right action of consuming iron tablets and as recommended by health workers. Keywords: iron tablets, action, pregnant women GAMBARAN TINDAKAN IBU HAMIL DALAM MENGONSUMSI TABLET ZAT BESI DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS II DENPASAR SELATAN TAHUN 2023 ABSTRAK Anemia pada ibu hamil merupakan salah satu penyebab kematian ibu hamil. Upaya yang dilakukan untuk mencegah anemia pada ibu hamil yaitu pemberian tablet zat besi minimal 90 tablet selama kehamilan. Namun masih ada ibu hamil yang mengonsumsi tablet zat besi secara tidak tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran tindakan ibu hamil dalam mengonsumsi tablet zat besi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan metode cross-sectional yang dilakukan pada 51 ibu hamil trimester II dan III yang sudah mendapatkan tablet zat besi. Teknik sampling yang digunakan yaitu dengan metode purposive sampling . Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, menunjukkan bahwa tindakan ibu hamil dalam mengonsumsi tablet zat besi di wilayah kerja Puskesmas II Denpasar Selatan mayoritas sudah baik yaitu sebanyak 39 orang (76,5%) dan yang kurang baik adalah sejumlah 12 orang (23,5%). Seluruh responden melakukan komponen tindakan mengonsumsi 1 tablet zat besi rutin setiap hari dan sesuai anjuran bidan/dokter yaitu sebanyak 51 responden (100%). Komponen tindakan lain yang paling banyak dilakukan yaitu ibu hamil mengonsumsi tablet zat besi dengan air putih yaitu sebanyak 48 responden (94,1%). Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa sebagian besar ibu hamil di wilayah kerja Puskesmas II Denpasar Selatan sudah melakukan tindakan mengonsumsi tablet zat besi yang tepat dan sesuai anjuran dari petugas kesehatan.
