Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF BLOOD URIC ACID LEVELS IN FARMERS IN TUMBU VILLAGE KARANGASEM DISTRICT KARANGASEM REGENCY ABSTRACK Background : Uric acid is the final product of purine metabolism. Several factors that can trigger an increase in blood uric acid levels in a person are genetic factors, purine intake, physical activity, gender, age, body mass index (BMI), medical conditions and use of drugs, and blood pressure.Workers in the agricultural sector have various risks to health problems involving various types of muscles that cause work-related diseases, one of which is gout. Purpose : The purpose of this study was to determine the description of blood uric acid levels in farmers in Tumbu Village, Karangasem District, Karangasem Regency. Metodhs : The research sample was 53 male farmers who had met the inclusion criteria.Examination of blood uric acid levels in this study using the rapid test method with the Easy Touch GCU tool. Results : The results showed that farmers with normal blood uric acid levels were 26.4% and farmers with high blood uric acid levels were 73.6%.The percentage of high blood uric acid levels by age group was dominated by the age group 30-49 years with a percentage of 82.2%. A more specific picture of the increase in blood uric acid levels is shown in the obesity category BMI with a percentage of 100%. Based on their physical activity as a farmer, a higher percentage of blood uric acid levels were found in farmers with heavy physical activity as much as 78.4%. Suggestion : Farmers are expected to consume enough water at least 2 liters per day, especially when working in the fields to avoid the risk of dehydration, as well as increase the consumption of high-fiber foods such as fruits and vegetables, and as much as possible not to over-consume foods high in purines in order to reduce the risk,increased blood uric acid levels and gout. GAMBARAN KADAR ASAM URAT DARAH PADA PETANI DI DESA TUMBU KECAMATAN KARANGASEM KABUPATEN KARANGASEM ABSTRAK Latar belakang : Asam urat merupakan hasil metabolisme akhir dari purin. Beberapa faktor yang dapat memicu meningkatnya kadar asam urat darah pada seseorang yaitu faktor genetika, asupan purin, aktivitas fisik, jenis kelamin, umur, indeks massa tubuh (IMT), kondisi medis dan penggunaan obat-obatan, serta tekanan darah. Pekerja dalam sektor pertanian memiliki berbagai risiko terhadap masalah kesehatan yang melibatkan berbagai jenis otot yang menyebabkan timbulnya penyakit akibat kerja salah satunya asam urat. Tujuan : Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui gambaran kadar asam urat darah pada petani di Desa Tumbu Kecamatan Karangasem Kabupaten Karangasem. Metode : Sampel penelitian adalah 53 orang petani laki- laki yang telah memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Pemeriksaan kadar asam urat darah pada penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan metode rapid tes dengan alat Easy Touch GCU. Hasil : Hasil penelitian menunjukan petani dengan kadar asam urat darah normal yaitu 26,4% dan petani dengan kadar asam urat darah tinggi yaitu sebanyak 73,6%. Persentase kadar asam urat darah tinggi berdasarkan kelompok umur didominasi pada kelompok umur 30 – 49 tahun dengan persentase 82,2%. Gambaran yang lebih spesifik terhadap peningkatan kadar asam urat darah ditunjukkan pada IMT kategori obesitas dengan persentase sebanyak 100%. Berdasarkan aktivitas fisiknya sebagai petani perbandingan persentase kadar asam urat darah yang lebih tinggi di temukan pada petani dengan aktivitas fisik yang berat yaitu sebanyak 78,4%. Saran : Kepada petani diharapkan agar mengkonsumsi air putih yang cukup minimal 2 liter perhari terutama saat bekerja di sawah untuk menghindari risiko dehidrasi, serta meningkatkan konsumsi makanan tinggi serat seperti buah dan sayur, dan sebisa mungkin untuk tidak berlebihan dalam mengkonsumsi makanan yang tinggi purin agar dapat mengurangi risiko meningkatnya kadar asam urat darah dan penyakit gout.
