Abstract

ABSTRACT Complementary foods with breast milk are a transition process from solely milk-based intake to semi-solid supplementary foods. Factors that must be considered in the process of providing complementary foods include: the age of the baby, the type and amount of food given, the time and frequency of administration, the health condition and the baby's weight. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between mother's knowledge about complementary foods (complementary foods) and patterns of children's complementary foods with nutritional status of children aged 6 to 24 months at Sukawati I Health Center. . The research design used was a cross sectional approach. Criteria The respondents of this study are mothers who have children aged 6 to 24 months, the children of the respondents will be sampled. To determine the relationship between variables, the test criteria were correlate bivariate through the rank spearman. The statistical test used is the Spearman Correlation Rank, the value of p = 0.001, the value of q = 0.43 * for the relationship between mother's knowledge of complementary foods based on the MPASI pattern, the value of p = 0.018, the value of q = -0.41 * for the relationship between the MPASI pattern based on the nutritional status of the child , meaning that there is a relationship between the mother's knowledge of complementary foods and complementary foods and there is a relationship between the pattern of complementary foods and nutritional status.
