The primary issue faced by infants born with low birth weight is a disruption in their thermoregulatory system or body temperature. Kangaroo care is a technique used to care for and support infants born with low birth weight in order to stabilize their body temperature. It is expected that there will be an increase in body temperature in infants undergoing kangaroo care. The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation of kangaroo care for LBW infants at Mangusada Regional Hospital in Badung. This study is a descriptive cross-sectional study using purposive sampling. The sample size was 26 participants. Data collection took place from March 1 to April 30, 2026. Descriptive analysis was used. The results of the study showed that the implementation of the kangaroo care method was mostly good (61.5%), with body temperature before the method being mostly normal (46.22%) and, after the kangaroo care method was administered, the body temperature of the infants was predominantly normal (80.8%). Therefore, it is recommended that healthcare workers provide education on the kangaroo care method using innovative and creative methods and demonstrate the practice directly so that mothers can be more independent in implementing the kangaroo care method.
