Abstract

CARE OF MOTHER “NP” 34 YEARS OLD MULTIGRAVID FROM PREGNANCY AGE 20 WEEKS 2 DAY UNTIL 42 DAYS FOR POSTPARTUM ABSTRACT The success of maternal health efforts can be measured, among other things, by the Maternal Mortality Ratio (MMR). The Indonesian government has undertaken various efforts to reduce MMR and Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) through the concept of continuous care (Continuity of Care) which can have a significant impact on the health of mothers and children. This midwifery care aims to determine the results of implementing midwifery care for a 34-year-old Multigravida mother, "NP", and her baby from 20 weeks and 2 days of gestation until 42 days postpartum, in accordance with standards and in a physiological manner. Data collection methods were carried out primarily and secondarily through interviews, examinations, observations, and documentation. Care was provided from September 2024 to Maret 2025. Throughout the antenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum periods, the client’s condition remained within physiological norms. Complementary interventions— such as hydrotheraphy, effleurage massage, prenatal yoga, perineal massage, endorphin massage, and kegel exercises—were provided based on the mother's individual needs. The labor process proceeded via spontaneous vaginal delivery without complications. The newborn exhibited immediate crying, active muscle tone, reddish skin, and had a birth weight of 3,900 grams. Postpartum uterine involution, lochia discharge, and lactation occurred within normal limits. In conclusion, after being given comprehensive and continuous standard and complementary care, the pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum period, and the baby of mother "NP" were successful and proceeded physiologically without complications.
