Abstract

Descripton of Oral Hygiene Level And Permanent Dental Caries IN Five A Grade Student At Elementary School 7 Pedungan Denpasar Selatan District in Year 2025 ABSTRACT Dental and oral hygiene is an important factor in the process of forming caries. 100% of school-age children, 60-90% have dental caries. The purpose of this study is to find out the picture of dental and oral hygiene and permanent dental caries in grade V students of SDN 7 Pedungan South Denpasar in 2025. This research is a descriptive research. The results of the study on 62 respondents showed that the percentage of students' dental and oral hygiene was at most 76% of the good criteria, the average level of dental and oral hygiene was 0.93 with good criteria. Based on gender, the highest frequency of students affected by permanent dental caries in grade V students of SDN 7 Pedungan in 2025 is 23 male students. The average permanent dental caries for grade V students of SDN 7 Pedungan South Denpasar in 2025 is 1.5. The conclusion of the level of dental and oral hygiene of grade V students at SDN 7 Pedungan is generally relatively good, but students affected by permanent dental caries are still relatively high and have not reached the national target and male students experience more caries than female students. Keywords: Dental and oral hygiene, Dental caries, Elementary School GAMBARAN KEBERSIHAN GIGI DAN MULUT SERTA KARIES GIGI PERMANEN PADA SISWA KELAS V SDN 7 PEDUNGAN DENPASAR SELATAN TAHUN 2025 ABSTRAK Kebersihan gigi dan mulut merupakan faktor penting dalam proses terbentuknya karies. 100% anak usia sekolah, 60-90% mengalami karies gigi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran kebersihan gigi dan mulut serta karies gigi permanen pada siswa kelas V SDN 7 Pedungan Denpasar Selatan tahun 2025. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif. Hasil penelitian terhadap 62 responden menunjukkan bahwa persentase kebersihan gigi dan mulut siswa paling banyak 76% kriteria baik, rata-rata tingkat kebersihan gigi dan mulut 0,93 dengan kriteria baik. Berdasarkan jenis kelamin frekuensi tertinggi siswa yang terkena karies gigi permanen pada siswa kelas V SDN 7 Pedungan tahun 2025 yaitu siswa laki-laki sebanyak 23 siswa. Rata-rata karies gigi permanen siswa kelas V SDN 7 Pedungan Denpasar Selatan tahun 2025 sebesar 1,5. Simpulan tingkat kebersihan gigi dan mulut siswa kelas V di SDN 7 Pedungan pada umumnya tergolong baik, namun siswa yang terkena karies gigi permanen masih tergolong tinggi dan belum mencapai target nasional serta siswa laki-laki mengalami karies lebih banyak dibandingkan siswa perempuan.
