Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF HEMOGLOBIN LEVELS IN FEMALE STUDENTS AT SMP NEGERI 1 SELEMADEG ABSTRACT Background: The prevalence of anemia in the world reaches 1.62 billion people and is a health problem that is often experienced by adolescent girls. Anemia can cause fatigue, decreased immunity, and reduce quality of life. One important indicator for detecting anemia is the level of hemoglobin in the blood Objectives: To determine the description of hemoglobin levels in female students at SMP Negeri 1 Selemadeg. Methodes: The type of research used is descriptive with a sample of 36 people selected using the proportionate stratified random sampling technique. Hemoglobin levels were measured using the Point of Care Testing (POCT) method using capillary blood. Results: The results of the study showed that the most hemoglobin levels were at normal levels, namely 20 people (55.6%). Low hemoglobin levels were found in 2 people (5.6%), while high hemoglobin levels were found in 14 people (38.8%). Conclusions: Most respondents at SMP Negeri 1 Selemadeg had normal hemoglobin levels, although some had low hemoglobin levels. This shows that there is still a risk of anemia in a small number of adolescents. Therefore, it is important to continue to monitor and prevent anemia so that adolescent health is maintained. Keywords: anemia, hemoglobin, adolescent girls GAMBARAN KADAR HEMOGLOBIN PADA SISWI DI SMP NEGERI 1 SELEMADEG ABSTRAK Latar Belakang: Prevalensi anemia di dunia mencapai 1,62 miliar orang dan merupakan masalah kesehatan yang sering dialami oleh remaja putri. Anemia dapat menimbulkan kelelahan, penurunan daya tahan tubuh, serta menurunkan kualitas hidup. Salah satu indikator penting untuk mendeteksi anemia adalah kadar hemoglobin dalam darah. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui gambaran kadar hemoglobin pada siswi di SMP Negeri 1 Selemadeg. Metode: Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan sampel sebanyak 36 orang yang dipilih menggunakan teknik proportionate stratified random sampling. Pengukuran kadar hemoglobin dilakukan dengan metode Point of Care Testing (POCT) menggunakan darah kapiler. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kadar hemoglobin yang paling banyak berada pada tingkat normal, yaitu sebanyak 20 orang (55,6%). Kadar hemoglobin rendah ditemukan pada 2 orang (5,6%), sedangkan kadar hemoglobin tinggi terdapat pada 14 orang (38,8%). Kesimpulan: Sebagian besar responden di SMP Negeri 1 Selemadeg memiliki kadar hemoglobin normal, walaupun ada beberapa yang kadar hemoglobinnya rendah. Ini menunjukkan masih ada risiko anemia pada sebagian kecil remaja. Oleh karena itu, penting untuk terus memantau dan mencegah anemia agar kesehatan remaja tetap terjaga.
