Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF URIC ACID LEVELS IN THE ELDERLY AT POSYANDU BAKTI RAHAYU BATURITI VILLAGE KERAMBITAN DISTRICT TABANAN REGENCY ABSTRACT Background: Gout arthritis is a joint disease caused by increased levels of uric acid in the blood. A person who has entered old age will be more susceptible to various health problems such as gout arthritis. Aims: This study aims to determine the description of uric acid levels in the elderly at the Bakti Rahayu Health Post in Baturiti Village, Kerambitan District, Tabanan Regency. Method: The research method used in this study was purposive sampling with a total of 45 respondents. Results: The results of this study indicate that the elderly with normal uric acid levels are 47 % and the elderly with high uric acid levels are 53 %. High uric acid levels were found most in the elderly age group (60 – 74 years) which is 40 %, elderly with female gender which is 42 %, elderly with a normal body mass index (BMI) and obesity level I which is 20 % each, and for physical activity dominated by the high physical activity category of 38 %. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the levels of uric acid in the elderly at the Bakti Rahayu Posyandu, Baturiti Village are mostly still high. Keywords : elderly, uric acid level GAMBARAN KADAR ASAM URAT PADA LANSIA DI POSYANDU BAKTI RAHAYU DESA BATURITI KECAMATAN KERAMBITAN KABUPATEN TABANAN ABSTRAK Latar belakang: Penyakit asam urat (gout arthritis) merupakan penyakit pada persendian yang disebabkan oleh meningkatnya kadar asam urat dalam darah. Seseorang yang telah memasuki masa lanjut usia akan lebih rentan mengalami berbagai masalah kesehatan seperti gout arthritis. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran kadar asam urat lansia di Posyandu Bakti Rahayu Desa Baturiti, Kecamatan Kerambitan, Kabupaten Tabanan. Metode: Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu purposive sampling dengan jumlah responden yakni sebanyak 45 orang. Hasil: Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa lansia dengan kadar asam urat normal yaitu sebesar 47 % dan lansia dengan kadar asam urat tinggi sebesar 53 %. Kadar asam urat tinggi ditemukan paling banyak pada kelompok usia elderly (60 – 74 tahun) yaitu sebesar 40 %, lansia dengan jenis kelamin perempuan yakni sebesar 42 %, lansia dengan indeks massa tubuh (IMT) yang tergolong normal dan obesitas tingkat I yaitu masing – maing sebesar 20 %, dan untuk aktivitas fisik di dominasi oleh kategori aktivitas fisik tinggi sebesar 38 %. Simpulan: Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa kadar asam urat pada lansia di Posyandu Bakti Rahayu Desa Baturiti mayoritas masih tinggi. Kata kunci: lansia, kadar asam urat
