Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF URIC ACID LEVELS IN TUAK DRINKERS IN BATURINGGIT VILLAGE, KUBU SUB-DISTRICT, KARANGASEM DISTRIC ABSTRACT Background: Tuak is one of the many types of alcoholic beverages commonly consumed by the public. Excessive alcohol consumption is a major health problem and social problem in society. People who are addicted to alcohol tend to have a greater consumption pattern, which has a direct impact on the increasing damage to body organs, one of which is gout. Aims: This study aims to determine the description of uric acid levels in palm wine drinkers in Baturinggit Village, Kubu District, Karangasem Regency. Methods: The type of research is descriptive research. The sample in this study amounted to 44 respondents, with purposive sampling technique, data collection using the POCT method. The results: The study showed that normal uric acid levels were (47,7%) and (52,3%) had high uric acid levels. Uric acid levels in tuak drinkers based on age characteristics in the high category were (22,7%), based on the duration of consumption of high tuak were (38,6%), based on the characteristics of the frequency of consuming high tuak were (40,9%), and based on the characteristics of the amount of consumption of high tuak were (29,5%). Conclusion: Increased uric acid levels occurred in the 41-53 year age group, namely (22,7%), duration of consumption of palm wine >8 years with a percentage of (38,6%), frequency of palm wine consumption 3-4 times a week with a percentage of (40,9%), and the amount of palm wine consumed 2-4 bottles/1,240ml-2,480ml with a percentage of (29,5%). Keywords: uric acid and tuak drinkers GAMBARAN KADAR ASAM URAT PADA PEMINUM TUAK DI DESA BATURINGGIT, KECAMATAN KUBU, KABUPATEN KARANGASEM ABSTRAK Latar Belakang: Tuak merupakan salah satu dari sekian banyak jenis minum beralkohol yang biasa dikonsumsi oleh masyarakat. Kandungan alkohol yang ada di dalam tuak sendiri memiliki kadar sekitar 4%. Mengonsumsi alkohol secara berlebihan merupakan suatu masalah kesehatan utama serta permasalah sosial di masyarakat. Masyarakat yang telah mengalami kecanduan terhadap alkohol cendrung mempunyai pola konsumsi yang lebih besar sehingga berdampak langsung terhadap semakin meluasnya kerusakan organ tubuh salah satunya asam urat. Tujuan: Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran kadar asam urat pada peminum tuak di Desa Baturinggit, Kecamatan Kubu, Kabupaten Karangasem. Metode: Penelitian ini adalah deskriptif. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 44 responden,dengan teknik purposive sampling, pengambilan data menggunakan metode POCT. Hasil: Penelitian menunjukkan kadar asam urat Tinggi sebesar (52,3%) dan Normal (47,7%). Kadar asam urat berdasarkan karakteristik usia tinggi sebesar (22,7%), berdasarkan lama konsumsi tuak tinggi sebanyak (38,6%), berdasarkan karakteristik frekuensi mengonsumsi tuak tinggi sebesar (40,9%), serta berdasarkan karakteristik jumlah mengonsumsi tuak tinggi sebanyak (29,5%). Simpulan: Peningkatan kadar asam urat terjadi pada kelompok usia 41-53 tahun yaitu sebanyak (22,7%), lama konsumsi tuak >8 tahun dengan persentase (38,6%), frekuensi konsumsi tuak 3-4x seminggu dengan persentase (40,9%), dan jumlah mengonsumsi tuak 2-4 botol/ 1.240ml-2.480ml dengan persentase (29,5%). Kata kunci : Asam Urat dan Peminum Tuak
