Abstract
The Effect of Animated Video Media Education on Students Knowledge of Earthquake Disaster Preparedness at SDN 3 Sidan in 2025 Indonesia is a country that is prone to earthquakes because it is located at the confluence of three active tectonic plates, namely the Eurasian Plate, the Pacific Plate, and the Indo-Australian Plate. This geographical condition causes Indonesia to often experience high seismic activity, including major earthquakes that have caused many casualties and material losses. Sidan Village is one of the areas with an earthquake risk level located in a highland with the morphology of coastal plains, undulating hills, and steep hills. Disaster mitigation efforts from an early age are important, especially for elementary school children who are classified as vulnerable groups. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of education through animated video media on students' knowledge about earthquake disaster preparedness. This study uses a Pre-Experimental design with a One group pre-post test approach. The research subjects were 48 students in grades IV, V, and VI. The results showed that before being given education, as many as 60.4% were in the category of lack of knowledge, while after being given animation video media education, as many as 77.1% of students were in the good category. The Paired T-Test showed p = 0.000 (α = 0.05). It was concluded that there is a significant influence of animation video media education on increasing student knowledge. Keywords : Animation Video Education, Knowledge, Earthquake Disaster PENGARUH EDUKASI MEDIA VIDEO ANIMASI TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN SISWA TENTANG KESIAPSIAGAAN BENCANA GEMPA BUMI DI SDN 3 SIDAN TAHUN 2025 Indonesia merupakan negara yang rentan terhadap gempa bumi karena berada di pertemuan tiga lempeng tektonik aktif, yaitu Lempeng Eurasia, Lempeng Pasifik, dan Lempeng Indo-Australia. Kondisi geografis ini menyebabkan Indonesia sering mengalami aktivitas seismik yang tinggi, termasuk gempa bumi besar yang telah menimbulkan banyak korban jiwa dan kerugian material. Desa Sidan merupakan salah satu daerah dengan tingkat risiko gempa bumi terletak berada di dataran tinggi dengan morfologi dataran pantai, perbukitan bergelombang, hingga perbukitan terjal. Upaya mitigasi bencana sejak dini menjadi penting, terutama pada anak-anak sekolah dasar yang tergolong kelompok rentan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh edukasi melalui media video animasi terhadap pengetahuan siswa tentang kesiapsiagaan bencana gempa bumi. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Pre-Eksperimental dengan pendekatan One group pre-post test. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 48 siswa kelas IV, V, dan VI. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebelum diberikan edukasi, sebanyak 60,4% berada pada kategori pengetahuan kurang, sedangkan setelah diberikan edukasi media video animasi, sebanyak 77,1% siswa berada pada kategori baik. Uji Paired T-Test menunjukkan p = 0,000 (α = 0,05). Disimpulkan terdapat pengaruh signifikan edukasi media video animasi terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan siswa.
