Abstract
DESCRIPTION OF HEMOGLOBIN LEVELS IN PREGNANT WOMEN AT PUSKESMAS I MELAYA, JEMBRANA DISTRICT ABSTRACT Hemoglobin is a rich protein of iron that has an affinity or combined power against O2 (oxygen), oxygen It itself will form an oxihemoglobin in red blood cells. Hemoglobin descendants can occur on anemia (especially iron deficiency anemia), bleeding, increased fluid intake, and pregnancy. Anemia is caused by several maternal age factors, pregnancy age, parity, pregnancy distance. The purpose of this study knows the picture of hemoglobin rates on pregnant women in Puskemas i. The method used descriptive research involving 42 respondents was obtained through the purposive sampling technique. The research results showed that hemoglobin in pregnant women was in the normal category 67% and in the low category 33%. It can be concluded that hemoglobin levels in pregnant women are normal.
