Abstract

The Effect of Coloring Mandala Therapy on Depression in Diabetes Mellitus Patients at UPTD West Denpasar II Year 2024 ABSTRACT By Ni Putu Sintha Anggreni Diabetes mellitus sufferers are very vulnerable to the risk of developing depression. Depression is a common comorbidity in diabetes mellitus patients which can worsen glycemic control and quality of life. To overcome depression in diabetes mellitus patients, non-pharmacological therapy such as Coloring Mandala Therapy is needed. This study aims to analyze the effect of Coloring Mandala Therapy on depression in diabetes mellitus patients. This research uses a pre-experimental method with a one-group pre-post test design type. Sampling used simple random sampling with a total of 20 research subjects who experienced depression. The research instrument used the Depression Scale. This research uses the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results of the research showed that before being given treatment, the majority of research subjects were in the category of mild depression, 11 people (55%) and moderate depression, 9 people (45%). After treatment, the level of depression decreased, normal in 4 people (20%) and mild depression in 16 people (80%). Hypothesis test results Asymp. Sig.(2-tailed) = 0.001 < alpha (0.05) that there is an influence of Coloring Mandala Therapy on depression in diabetes mellitus patients at the UPTD West Denpasar Health Center II in 2024. Keywords: Coloring Mandala, Depression, Diabetes Mellitus Pengaruh Coloring Mandala Therapy Terhadap Depresi Pada Pasien Diabetes Mellitus Di UPTD Puskesmas Denpasar Barat II Tahun 2024 ABSTRAK Oleh Ni Putu Sintha Anggreni Penderita diabetes mellitus sangat rentan memiliki resiko terkena depresi. Depresi merupakan komordibitas umum pada pasien diabetes mellitus yang dapat memperburuk kontrol glikemik dan kualitas hidup. Untuk mengatasi depresi pada pasien diabetes mellitus, perlu terapi nonfarmakologis seperti Coloring Mandala Therapy. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh Coloring Mandala Therapy terhadap depresi pada pasien diabetes mellitus. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pre experimental dengan jenis desain one-group pre-post test design. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan simple random sampling dengan jumlah subjek penelitian 20 orang yang mengalami depresi. Instrument penelitian menggunakan Skala Depresi. Penelitian ini menggunakan uji Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Hasilnya penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebelum diberikan perlakuan sebagian besar subjek penelitian masuk kategori depresi ringan 11 orang (55%) dan depresi sedang 9 orang (45%). Setelah perlakuan, tingkat depresi mengalami penurunan, normal 4 orang (20%) dan depresi ringan 16 orang (80%). Hasil uji hipotesis Asymp. Sig.(2-tailed) = 0,001 < alpha (0,05) bahwa ada pengaruh Coloring Mandala Therapy terhadap depresi pada pasien diabetes mellitus di UPTD Puskesmas Denpasar Barat II Tahun 2024.
