Abstract

ACUTE PAIN NURSING CARE WITH DRY CUPPING THERAPY FOR LOW BACK PAIN PATIENTS AT THE BUMI SEHAT UBUD CLINIC IN 2024 I Wayan Yogik Prayoga Program Studi Profesi Ners Poltekkes Kemenkes Denpasar Email: dokumenyogik@gmail.com ABSTRACT Low back pain (LBP) is a prevalent health concern that affects members of society. The two most significant risk factors for LBP are age and occupation. Dry cupping is one of the non-pharmacological treatments used to treat LBP. The objective of this study is to determine the state of acute pain nursing in LBP patients receiving dry cupping therapy at the Bumi Sehat Ubud clinic in 2024. Method of preparation based on a case study design. Two patients (patient 1 and patient 2) who presented with initial pain complaints on the Numeric Rating Scale 6 and 5, respectively, participated in the trials. Acute pain induced by physiological agents of injury is the nursing diagnosis; symptoms include pain complaints, a tingling sensation, restlessness, an elevated pulmonary frequency, elevated blood pressure, and sleeping difficulties. Pain management interventions comprise education, collaboration, therapy, observation, and education. The implementation consisted of dry cupping therapy administered once for 45 minutes, in response to LPB complaints that had been felt for less than three weeks. Both patients experienced a reduction in pain to a level of 3 following a dry cupping intervention lasting 5-7 minutes. This reduction was attributed to the rupture of an inflammatory mediator and a nosisceptive pain substance in the lower limb plexus (LBP), which was further supported by the patients' increased comfort. Dry bekam is an effective alternative to non-pharmacological techniques and relaxation techniques when administered to LBP patients with acute pain nursing issues, according to the findings. Faktor risiko yang paling berperan dalam terjadinya LBP adalah usia dan pekerjaan. Salah satu terapi nonfarmakologis dalam mengatasi LBP adalah terapi bekam kering. Tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk mengetahui gambaran asuhan keperawatan nyeri akut dengan terapi Bekam Kering (Dry Cupping) pada pasien LBP di klinik Bumi Sehat Ubud tahun 2024. Metode penyusunan menggunakan rancangan studi kasus. Pengkajian dilakukan pada 2 pasien (pasien 1 dan pasien 2) dengan keluhan awal nyeri masing-masing dengan Numeric Rating Scale 6 dan 5. Diagnosis keperawatan yaitu nyeri akut berhubungan dengan agen pencedera fisiologis ditandai dengan mengeluh nyeri, tampak meringis, gelisah, frekuensi nadi meningkat, tekanan darah meningkat dan sulit tidur. Intervensi yang diberikan berupa manajemen nyeri yang terdiri dari observasi, terapeutik, edukasi, dan kolaborasi. Implementasi dilakukan 1 x 45 menit dengan tindakan terapeutik berupa terapi bekam kering sesuai dengan keluhan LPB yang dirasakan <3 minggu. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa tingkat nyeri pada kedua pasien menurun menjadi skala 3 setelah diberikan intervensi bekam kering selama 5-7 menit akibat pecahnya mediator inflamasi dan zat nosiseptif nyeri pada LBP, dibuktikan dengan pasien merasa lebih nyaman. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh yaitu bekam kering efektif diberikan sebagai alternatif teknik relaksasi dan juga teknik non farmakologi pada pasien LBP dengan masalah keperawatan nyeri akut.
