Abstract
Obesity is the most significant global health problem. The prevalence rate is increasing in various parts of the world, both in rich and poor countries. Obesity has reached an epidemic problem globally. The prevalence of obesity in the world in adults has increased from 8.7% to 13.1%, namely in women 10.5-15.1% and in men 6.6% - 11.1%. The prevalence of obesity in Indonesia in 2013 increased from 15.4% to 20.7% in 2016. The prevalence of nutritional status based on BMI category in population >18 years according to the district/city of Denpasar province was 25.53%. The purpose of this study was to determine hemoglobin levels in obese patients at Puskesmas IV South Denpasar in general. This research method is descriptive which was carried out in March - April 2022 with a total of 22 respondents obtained by purposive sampling technique. Hemoglobin levels were measured using the Point of Care Testing (POCT) method. The results of this study indicate that of the 22 respondents who had normal hemoglobin levels (59.1%), had low hemoglobin levels (40.9%). The conclusion of this study was mostly obesity with normal hemoglobin levels.
